Good Morning All!!

Gotta' love that cardio surge in the morning to kick start your day :eek: Plyo Cardio Circuit done. I'm used to working out at least an hour to an hour and 1/2 in the morning so these short workouts are a nice change - quick and to the point.

Ffte - now I know what you mean re the forward bend hamstring stretch at the end - yep, my heart rate is still going when Shaun does that stretch, but I just take my time.

Take care all and looking forward to reading about your workouts so I know what to expect :D

I'm right with ya, so I can't tell ya what to expect, but Plyo was tough. I did this once already when I got the preview DVD. This time seemed tougher, but I think a took a couple breaks the first time. This time I kept going. I slowed down from Shaun's pace a few times, but I kept going. :p

Funny thing is today my heart rate seemed a bit better right before the stretch then it did after the fit test. I guess I was slacking during the punches. Whew.. off to the shower before I start dripping on the keyboard. :D

Ffte - yes, those punches at the end of Plyo are a welcome relief (oops, did I type that out loud?) :D I really enjoyed the workout and felt exhilarated afterward - reminds me of my running days. This series is exactly what I have needed :D

Pure Cardio today --- Oh, my, gosh. I have never worked harder in my life. I was dying. I cannot believe how intense this series is! But after the workout I felt great. For me, the warm up is pretty intense, so I do my own warm up before the Insanity warm up.:p
 
Good morning ladies! Sounds like you all are going insane! Today was supposed to be cardio power and resistance but i didn't have it in me to push my anaerobic capacity. I think i'm going to have to do these workouts every other day. So today i did MM with moderate weight and then 30 minutes of cardio on my elliptical. I skipped the chest work as i think i do enough pushups with insanity and i skipped the back work b/c i did that yesterday after plyo circuit. So my plan is to do insanity M,W,F and give it my all and then on T and Th i will do a full body weight workout with 30 minutes of steady state cardio after.
 
aveggiegirl, Now you're scaring me. LOL Good thing I have two days before Pure cardio. :)

kariev, That sounds like a great plan. I'll probably try something like that after I complete the 60 day series and then go back to STS Shock Cardio and Strength. That's assuming I don't end up joining you come tomorrow morning. :D
 
ok all I bailed on doing this workout at 5, so I think I'm going to have to take today off...long day at work and then a dinner out....but based on someone elses post who said this cardio in the am was great Im going to give it a try tommorow.

Hey everybody! I would love to do the check-in as well. I have been a Cathe follower for years. I am super excited about Insanity though, I was getting bored with all my DVD's and running. I did the Fit Test so far and Plyo Cardio Circuit. Wow these are soooo hard! I thought I was in shape. Today is a rest day for me/ no daycare:-( BAck at it tomorrow with Cardio Power and Resistance.

I am gonna do the first week as is and then maybe add on CTX upper body, depending on how I feel. These are hard! I have exactly 2 months till I go to the beach and I am gonna get under 120 if it kills me...hoping these will do the trick!:)

I just started Intensity this morning with the fit test. I would love to check in you guys. I am going to do meso2 with the series (I think:confused:).
My fit test results:
switch kicks-66
power jacks-52
power knees-86
power jumps-33
globes-10
Suicides-17
push up jacks 20
oblique planks 46-i think

Wow I got really tired after the power jumps, my numbers drastically took a turn for the worse.

Elena, I think these workouts are tough morning, afternoon and evening. It doesn't matter when you do them. ;)

Jenny, The more the merrier. I'm also doing this week as is and will add weight if I deem it necessary. Right now, I'm thinking I want to save all my energy and focus on just Insanity.....

Chrissy, Glad to have you join us too. Great numbers. The last of exercises were the hardest to rack up big numbers for. Oy, you're another brave one trying STS and Insanity. :D

Today was Power Cardio (I think that's the name) anyway, these are SO tough, I really wonder if I'll ever be able to keep up, I had to rest during every one of the traveling pushups, at some point in the floor sprints, and definitely during the tricep dips. If these don't help shed some fat, nothing will!

Thanks for the waves and hellos... I did the recovery max workout today and it was exactly what my hamstrings needed after all those jumps and "hit the floors".

I previewed Pure Cardio I and promptly put Impact Gel sole inserts in my cross trainers so I am ready for all those tuck jumps and switch kicks. I am psyched doing the workout tomorrow. I have to work out in the late afternoon since my work commute is early and long. I don't think I would be able to do an Insanity workouts before 9AM... my old body needs time to loosen up in the early morn!!

I forgot to mention this earlier. I do too. I hop on the treadmill for 5 minutes and then start the workout. I think like Brenda I need the extra time to loosen up since I DO do this before 9AM.

Dela, I'm sure I'll be taking breaks for Pure Cardio too. For me, these workouts were like buying cloths for kids (I have plenty of room to grow into them :eek:).
