Good Morning, Y'All!!!!

CCB is done and I added the UB weight workout (minus the warm-up & stretch) afterward - FINALLY!! Another great little workout and I feel energized. The ski abs in this workout were much easier than in PCC :p I will probably add more to CCB this week since I'm needing that Insanity fix to push myself.

Sandra - Ok, let me just say that I'm in awe over your energy and all your workouts on your birthday!! I certainly bow down to you because I do not believe even on my best day I could have made it through your morning :eek: Your DDs sound adorable & thoughtful - you obviously are a wonderful Mommy and they love you dearly - so cute!! My youngest DD also just turned 4 on July 29, such a fun age :D

I'm off to shower and work - have a super day everyone!! :cool::D
 
Good morning, Insanitinas! Actually, I'm checking in from last night's workout. I did a nice step mish-mosh with Mindy Mylrea's Interval Express and Cathe's HSTA cardio; then followed it up with Insanity Cardio Core Balance (or Core Cardio Balance). Like HaveFun, I found CCB to be a nice little workout, and excellent as an add-on at the end of a main cardio routine when you just feel like going a little further. I did add on some traditional core work at the end; IMHO CCB is more about lighter cardio and balance than it is about core.

Hi Everyone,
I did CCB on Sunday and followed it up with Insanity Abs. Last night I did Meso 1 Back/Triceps Disk 5 and then 20 minutes of Treadmill. Tonight is a Legs night...have a great day everyone

Today was CPR. I'm always amazed at how powerful I feel during the 2nd and 3rd set of Globe Jumps. Of course I'm sucking wind during the push ups that follow. I don't even TRY to make them moving push ups and come midway through the 2nd set I doing them on my knees. :eek:

Sandra, Look at you, living up to your screen name. ;) I'm 10 days older then your brother. click click click (that would be my crab claws - I know pretty lame compared to your roar, but I can't help that)

Jennifer, Are you planning on finishing the whole week with CCB? Good for you. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that, of course perhaps I should preview it before I commit either way. :eek:

A-Jock, Wow.... just .. Wow... So how long do you workout for anyway?

Elena, Is CCB not as leg intensive as his other workouts? I haven't even had a small inkling that I need to add leg work yet. Of course I've never been a big fan of leg work.

Sandra ~ wow~ I use my birthday as an excuse to have PJ day and eat...I'm amazed at you!!!

Just a quick 3 mile run this morning. My hip was pretty sore and we all had lots to do today so we called it a day!

Headed to the DMV soon with DD#3 for the dreaded driver's test! Fingers crossed!

Yes, I did take the plunge and upgraded to the DELUXE workouts....$44.85 for the extra workouts...shipping is ridiculous, but I'm finding that to be true with BeachBody. At least it's express and I'll have it in 3-4 days.

Woo hoo!!! Driving test passed! Thank God! Can't do that again!

Had another exciting thing happen....I workout regularly at my town's YMCA and have asked about certification training for spin and weights. They are in a hiring freeze so I've gotten the cold shoulder. Welllll, today I got called and asked to sub a lunch time cycle class. I was at the DMV so I said I would try to make it, but no promises. I was late and one of the regular subs had gotten there just to take the class so she had started with them. I just let her finish while I observed and got a feel for this group and how tough they liked to work out. But, at least I got the call! So maybe the door is opening. :)

Becky: great news about the phone call for subbing. I think once they know you are available to do it (as you demonstrated today) you will be called again. In my experience teaching at a YMCA, most are desperate for qualified, enthusiastic instructors. I am sure you will be teaching in the near future.
I will also order the extra workouts very soon.... once beachbody finds the rest of the 10minute trainer package I ordered 2 months ago!! They only shipped 3 of the workouts and the packacge I ordered had 6 workouts in it. I refuse to buy anything else (no matter how badly I want it) until they rectify my prior order. I guess it will take another phone call to see if they have even attempted to package up the remaining dvds.

Today was day 4 of recovery week, so I did CCB again. I like this workout a lot and it was perfect for today since I had to pick up my granddaughter from school and she kept interrupting me during the workout. I still managed to get a good workout in and will tack on one of Cathe's ab circuits after DGD goes home tonight. I am very psyched about starting month 2 of Insanity. LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Good evening, Ya'll!

Thank you to those who take the time to read my late-day posts.

Today was my Insanity rest day, and I really needed it. I was sore and stiff this morning. I took a nap this morning, after I trained my 6am client, then did STS Disc 19: Triceps. I followed that up with XStretch. Aaaahhhhhhh. Just what the doctor ordered. It...felt....so.....goooooooooood. Then the Y phoned this afternoon and asked if I could sub a Circuit Challenge class tonight. So I did. I had them do lots of drill cardio that used a lot of stuff from Insanity, PlyoX, and Cathe's various interval drills. We used only stability balls, bands, and bodyweight for our resistance work. It went very well. I didn't work very hard myself; I focused on coaching. It's my rest day! I have to do the Fit Test tomorrow morning, and I don't want to tire myself out for that :D.

My eating isn't back up to Insanity snuff yet, but it hasn't been tragic, either. I'll get back on track tomorrow, now that I've cleared out yesterdays leftovers :eek:.

Jennifer - How long is the UB workout? And do you like it? Is it a hidden gem? Thank you for the kind words about my mothering! Send that in an email to my 9 year old, will you? She's very skeptical about my ability to grow her up.

A-Jock - I've got a few of Mindy's workouts, but I don't have that one. Is it good? She's quite an energetic, strong little person, isn't she? Do you ever do strength training, or are you All About The Cardio?

Elena - Nice workout! Was that STS Legs you did?

Dawn - Feeling powerful through globe jumps??? REALLY?? I suffer through those! The thighs really start to burn! Yikes! If one of those claws bites my majestic nose, you'll take me down in an instant. Meow.

Becky - Congratulations to DD#3! I don't look forward to the day my kids get their license.....Hey! Another congratulations for getting the call to sub!! Yes, things may be looking up!

Brenda - Wow, what a lot of enthusiasm you have for loooonger Insanity workouts! :D I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them. Have you seen any kind of changes in your first month?

Well, I'd best get my full rest tonight. I want to pass my Fit Test tomorrow!
