Good Morning Y'All!!

Tried to log on this morning and first thought my computer was wonking out since it kept kicking me to a different webpage, but eventually got the notice the forum was being updated. CCB & UB weight workouts done. I'm appreciating CCB even more after doing it a few times, same way I felt about CR. The UB workout is perfect for taking care of my fix to lift weights and I like the combo of CCB & UB together. I've finally kicked the cold that was trying to catch me since my energy level is back. I knew there was something going on last week when I was running out of steam. Also, although I haven't been losing the major lbs with this program, I'm definitely leaning out. The past few days when putting on pants which are normally a little snug after being in the dryer, those pants are sliding right on - gotta' love that!! :p Is it possible not to lose lbs, but lean out?

Have a super day everyone!!:D

Yeah, Websites back up.

Today was supposed to be W4 CR. I did PUB instead. The abs started off really easy. The ball sit/roll ups have never been difficult but they were effortless. Insanity has done some good things to my core and I'm first realizing it. I would never know it when doing CA . Anyway Cathe then got me good when we got to the pikes. I also tacked on a quick 5 mins (.4 miles) on the treadmill for good measure.

Today my GWF and HRM were right on target (they read within 2 calories compared t 120 calorie diff yesterday)

angie, Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy Insanity. I'm in week 4 I have seen great cardio and core improvements so far. My cloths are a little loser, but the scale hasn't budged much. I'm okay with that though. For me Insanity is just the prep work for the STS Cardio / Strength rotation.

colleen, Congrats on the promotion! I really struggle with CA and I agree it does seem to go quickly for a 15 minute ab workout. I'm not sure why.

Sandra, Nice numbers. Way to go. I agree that just like anything else there will be a "diminishing return on investments".

Brenda, I'm glad to see not everyone is doing CCB everyday during RW. I had a couple alternate plans and was really looking forward to IMAX2 and maybe C&W. I miss my step workouts. I know IMAX2 would not be considered cardio recovery, but I'm sure one intense cardio won' blow my RW :p

Jennifer, I'm glad you're feeling better this week. I'm a wimp when I start to get ill. I wasn't always, at one time I'd push myself and found I would get hit harder and recover slower. It's great you were still able to work out and fight the cold off at the same time.

Everyone have a spectacular day!! :D

Hi ladies! Please forgive me for not taking time to address everyone individually. I do want to thank you ALL though for being so welcoming, encouraging, and just plain ole nice people! I've really appreciated all the words of encouragement this week! :D

Good PT yesterday, and located a major source of my hip issue. I've given birth 4 times and yesterday's *massage* of my left groin was the 5th most excruciating event in my life. BUT, I have mobility that I haven't had for years...didn't realize how tight my hip was until she broke up some scar tissue, muscle fibers and released it. but, OMG!!! I have what I consider a high threshhold of pain (hello, I get brazilian bikini waxes done ;)) this was agonizing!!!

Also went and got my *cross trainers* for re-starting INSANITY on Monday. I actually ended up with Saucony running shoes...everything else just didn't feel right. They are much less rigid than my MIZUNOs with waaaayyy more cushion. I also learned a trick for lacing my shoes to better cradle my heel and keep it from slipping. The best part was with sale price and coupon, the shoes were 45% off!

Oh, and I ended up co-teaching another cycle class yesterday! The instructor was having issues with one of her daughter[s in child care so I took over and finished the class. It was terrific hands on training!

Short run and cycle with a little circuit training today. Going to try and get a long run in tomorrow. I'll need the endorphins.

LOTS of packing and cleaning! We'll be loading up the cars tomorrow night and on the road early Saturday morning.

Thanks again ladies for putting up with my one sided updates this week. I promise I'm not *all about me* just very time crunched right now! Looking forward to getting back on track next week and continuing to get to know y'all! :D:D:D

Good afternoon everyone! I started today's thread this morning, since I managed to log on before Jennifer. But I guess it got missed. So I'll paste my morning post here. I've since completed PCC; the workout with the lopsided warm up stretch :D. Does that bother anyone else? He leaves out my favourite stretches on the second side. The workout felt tough this afternoon, but that might be because I just had two days of relative ease and my mindset wasn't there anymore. Or maybe I'm just tired :p. The workout is done, that's all that matters.

Good morning Ya'll!!!!!!!

Who's doing what Insane workout today?

I'll be doing PCC later on this afternoon. This morning I did a 30min run with my 6am client, then STS Disc 21: Back. I'm saving the Insanity for later today, after my back has had a chance to recover. STS Back work really makes the lower back work hard. I want it to be well rested, because it has to work very hard for support with all that Insanity cardio.

I think I'm going to go bra shopping today or tomorrow. I was reading that thread in OD about getting properly fitted for a bra, and I've never done that. This could either be the most enjoyable shopping trip ever, or the most depressing. Shopping for bras is right up there with bathing suit shopping, IMO.:confused:

Brenda - I'm not sure if I'll attempt any weight work with Month 2, either. Time will become more of an issue for me in September. I would like to do STS Meso 2 again, one body-part at a time. Of course, I could always pick shorter/easier weight routines, like the CTX segments, or one segment from Power Hour every day. Or the Body Blast Timesaver dvd weight segments. With Cathe, the options are endless.

Whatever you do today, do it well, and have a great time!
Sandra

Hello everyone,
I did go out and get a fresh pair of cross trainers for the 2nd month of insanity. I agree with Becky, the lacing is key to getting the foot comfortable.
Today is day 6 of recovery week for me and I did CCB and then added on a 30 minute upper body workout. For my rest day tomorrow I will be teaching my advanced step and sculpt class.
I think it is very possible to lean out without losing weight. The legs are getting a heck of a workout in this series and one of the reasons I decided to do Insanity was to lean out my legs, which got a bit bigger than I wanted while doing STS... (I did both squat rack and plyo legs in Meso 3) I have retained the strength and definition STS gave me, but did "shrink" my thighs.
While typing this I was on the phone with Beachbody and went ahead and ordered the DVDs to upgrade to the Deluxe Insanity package. Total with S&H came to about $55. i think i am finished buying DVDs for a while, thank goodness I preordered STS cardio!!

Dig deepr and Goooooooooooo
Brenda

Becky, Not to worry. I don't always have time to address everyone individually either. I assume since I don't expect to be addressed individually, neither does anyone else (whether that's right or wrong :p)

Sandra, I never noticed that about PCC. I thought he did them all on both sides, but just switched the order. Huh? I do my last PCC for Month 1 on Saturday, I'll have to pay closer attention.

I forgot to mention I just picked up some new cross trainers on Tuesday. I've only used them once for CPR so far but they do seem to give me more lateral support then my Rykas.
