LET'S GET INSANE - TGIF, 7/31

Good Morning All!!

CPR done and I feel great :D I'm definitely improving with each workout although something about the Globe Jumps in this workout just get me. Someone had mentioned that each of these workouts just have a point that gets you and I guess for me in CPR its those darn Globe Jumps

ISeeFitPeople - You can sub in what you want for CR, what is PiYo? I do not have a particular soreness in any part of my body. The first fews days of this program my calves were on fire, but that worked itself out. I would say that my overall mid section feels worked maybe since my form has improved and I'm able to hold my core in tighter.

Well I'm off to Sea World this afternoon so I won't be checking in until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, but I'm bringing the workouts with me. It helps that DH is Insane as well so we're motivating each other. Have a wonderful weekend and keep up the good work, I'll try to check in later today. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!:D

Good Morning to all my fellow loonies :p,

Since no one mentioned it, I assume no one here is going on the Cathe RT?

I also did CPR (power and res). The globe jumps killed me on the first round, but I was surprised that I felt good on the 2nd and 3rd set(I think we did a 3rd set )

I paused and tacked on 3 supersets of double arm dumbbell rows and deadlifts, and then joined the cool down.

Jennifer, Enjoy SeaWorld. How cool that your DH works out with you. :D I need to find a way to get the DH to join me. His job used to be more physical then it is now and he's noticing he's just not as strong as he used to be. I think someone else was working out with the DH too?

Dawn - Funny you mention that about the 2 & 3 round being easier. I thought the Globe Jumps were easier on the 3rd round, but figured I was just delirious :p I'm surpirsed that my DH has been so enthusiastic about this series. He is a charter/commercial fisherman and plays basketball, football and baseball on local teams so he is active. I could never convince him to do a Cathe workout with me (must be a guy thing), but he has done a few P90x workouts here & there, but has jumped in feet first with Insanity. That early morning workout (with the Fit Test) was the only morning workout he did with me (that early time got him good ), but he now does the workouts in the evenings after work, which would wipe me out. Has your DH viewed any of the Insanity workouts? Maybe when you keep talking about how energetic you are after these workouts he may want to join in ;)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA but I have been sick. Started as a cold, moved to a stomach virus and today I am weak and tired. I haven't worked out since Tuesday so I will probably restart insanity next week.
Jennifer, have fun at SeaWorld. Good job bringing your workouts with you.
Dawn, no RT this year. Interesting about the globe jumps. Maybe your body just adapts so it is easier.

Hi ladies. Just finished max interval plyo which is 58 minutes long. I didn't want to workout at all today and even when i was doing the warm-up i was telling myself i just don't feel like pushing it. Well, i just decided to suck it up and got into it after the 1st round of the 1st interval. Its funny b/c during these workouts i tell myself how much i hate them and they are too hard but then when i'm finished i say to myself "wow, that wasn't that bad" LOL. Anyway, i just ordered my exercise mat (thanks jennifer) and i got the new asics gel intensity cross trainer sneakers that have been recommended on the open discussion forum. I've been doing these workouts in my running shoes and they don't provide the right amount of support. Its funny, i don't know what to do with myself since i don't have to study anymore. LOL! Studying has been such a part of my life for the past 3 years its so weird not to have it anymore.

havefun: enjoy seaworld and good for you for bringing the workouts to torture yourself while your away

Ffte: good job on the workout. Its those little signs of improvements like you had with the globe jumps that make you feel strong and your improving. Keep it up!

Trixie: hope your feeling better. Drink lots of fluids and ease back into your workouts when you feel up to it.

Good Morning
No RT for me, I have never been quick enough to get in and this year I was off the computer for about a week and that just happened to be the time it was announced when registration started and evrything was all sown up by the time I was even aware it was happening. Oh well, maybe next year.....
great job on all the workouts today!! I have really been tempted to move on to the longer workouts but I am keeping myself on the rotation as recommended. i am definitely getting better each time. Today is rest day from Insanity but i did teach my advanced step and sculpt class this morning. i have a wonderful group of advanced exercisers so we usually do a step combo, an aneorobic blast, then a sculpt section for a total of 4-5 (different) rounds followed by abs and stretch. Today's class had globe jumps and the cardio abs exercises and my class loved it.
Tomorrow is fit test for me and I will be curious to see how much I have improved in the last 2 weeks. I am leaning out in my legs and midsection (I am pretty small all ready) and I am really pleased with this program.
When we get through the program, I suggest we post what our results are in inches and pounds lost as well as how improved we are in the fit test. it will be fun to see how everyone responds to this Insanity!!
Have a great day everyone

Jennifier,
The DH would LOL if he read your post. I think I need to start with walks and bike rides and such with him. :)

Trixie,
Sorry you've been sick, but not to worry, insanity will be ready for you whenever you are. :D

kariev,
Great job on max interval plyo. This old body needs more time before attempting that. ;) About the studying, trust me, you'll get used to not having to do it quite quickly.
