Hmmmmm???? The sound of all these pins dropping is giving me a headache. Quiet down in here, won't you, YA'LLLLLLL???????
Aquajock - it looks like you and I are the only ones crazy enough to do an Insanity workout on a Sunday morning. It's either this, or spending time with my kids, and frankly, this makes makes me less crazy!

. You've pulled off another phenomenal workout today, even without the Fit Test to add to the mix! You came out of the womb doing tuck jumps, didn't you?
Jennifer - Thank you for the description of Cardio Abs yesterday. I see another whammy to the hip flexors will be served up. Is all that really necessary?

. Actually, I'm kind of confused about the different ways people train the core. Some people go out of their way to avoid hip flexor use, and others go at them really intensely. I enjoy workouts that avoid it more than those that do, but that's not really the reason to avoid it, is it? I wonder what's best for us, in the long term. What will flatten our stomachs the best??? That's the REAL answer I want to know!!
I'm still sweaty from doing Cardio Power & Resistance, followed by STS Disc 19: Chest. My chest is still trembling, too.
All of Shaun's workouts involve intense hip flexor use. Cycling does, as well. My hip flexors were feeling very tired today, which made this a bigger challenge. Also, it's the 3rd day of TTOM, which is my lowest-energy day of the month. I always have a glorious Power Mode phase in the 4 days leading up to the arrival of AF. Then She arrives, and 48 hours later, I'm down as far as I was up, only 3 days before. So, what I'm trying to say is this was probably my weakest/most tired day I'll see all month, and I knew that going in. Knowledge is power. I pushed through, did my best, and put it behind me. And in all honestly, I didn't do so bad. It just felt harder than I wanted it to feel today. I'll bide my time until my next PowerMode

. Then I'll do Annette's version of things!......NOT! LOL!
Tomorrow I'll be teaching a total body resistance class, very similar to Cathe's Power Hour. Lighter weights; endurance focused. However, it's also my birthday, AND will be the last time I teach this class (I've been teaching it for a year). So I've decided to have some fun with it. In honour of my birthday I'm going to have them do all exercises for 39 reps (I turn 39 tomorrow. And yes, this is the FIRST time I'm turning 39, I swear! Next year I'll start celebrating the anniversaries of turning 39

). I'm picking their favourite exercises, and pulled together some great music. It's going to be fun. I need to rehearse it a bit today.
I hope you're all having a great Sunday, with either a well-deserved rest, or a feeling FABULOUS from a wonderful workout!
Cheers,
Sandra
