Leslie Sansone recommendations?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Leslie Sansone "walking" video that would be a pretty hard cardio workout and would give me a decent idea of what she is all about. I am a total Cathe-ite but I am just curious to try what the Sansone workouts are like. I looked on Netflix and they have about 20 workouts I could try, but I don't know which are good and which are not so good. If anyone has a comment on what would be a good one to try, thanks in advance!

hi! i used 4 fast miles while i was preg a few months ago.
i cant say i loved it and i havent used it since i was preg but it def got a lot of use in my 3rd trimester.
it was nice to modify up instead of down.:D
leslie canbe a bit annoying, esp being used to cathe! dh would groan when he heard ls's voice!:p i didnt mind it too much.
you can make the movements bigger/more impact.
i wouldnt discourage anyone from getting it, just dontexpect a cathe wo.

hth!:D

Her newest one, 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk, is pretty good for a joint friendly cardio workout. DW uses Leslie's workouts because they are so easy on the joints, and I enjoy them as well for a change of pace from Cathe Kickbox and Boot Camp cardio.

Leslie's stuff is nothing flashy, but effective nonetheless. She has upped the intensity in her workouts to include jogging. No where near Cathe style intense, but IMHO, perfect for those days when you really don't have a Cathe workout in you and want to do something.

There's a clip on collage video for the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. I may actually do this tomorrow as a way to ease back into exercise after my stomach bug knocked me on my can the last day or so.

I second Jerry's recommendation of the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. I picked this one up at Best Buy after the holidays for something to do on easier days, to give my joints a rest or when I feel like walking but it's too icy or cold in Wisconsin to do so.

Let me tell you, I am AMAZED how many calories I burn doing this workout! I do the boost at the end of each mile (gentle jogging forward and back and in place) and will increase the intensity a bit on my own by jogging sometimes while she walks or doing more arm movements, and I burn at least 100 calories per mile! I only have 3 Leslies and this is by far my favorite. Each mile is a different segment with different background exercisers with slightly different "choreography" (it's all pretty basic). You can easily pick any of the segments and do just that mile or do as many as you want.

I have managed to acquire quite a few Leslie's over the past year--since I started doing them. I agree with the 5 Mile Fat Burning. That has quickly become a favorite.

Although their workouts couldn't be more different in intensity, Leslie and Cathe both are credits to their chosen profession. I had the opportunity to watch Leslie in an interview, she's been teaching for almost 25 years, and seems as passionate as ever about her craft. I consider myself quite lucky to have the two very best at what they do lead my fitness journey...Leslie is most definitely the Cathe Friedrich of walking workouts, IMHO.
