OK.....I do NOT want this post to become a religious discussion, argument, yada yada yada. PLEASE take it as simply as I intend it to be. If you do not like it, then PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO MY POST. Please keep anything negative out of this. I ask this respectfully to all (just to avoid any flames that may arise from folks taking my post the wrong way).
OK...with my disclaimer out of the way.
What do you intend to give up (or take on) during this Lenten Season?
Every year, instead of just giving something up, I usually take the time to re-dedicate myself to doing something positive. I've been giving this some thought this past week, and I've committed myself to 2 things:
1. STOP ABUSING MY BODY with food binges.
I commit to treating my body as the fine machine that it is.
I am giving up binging and doing so in the closet (so to speak).
2. I am taking on the committment to another fundraising event for the Leukemina & Lymphoma Society. I do not have an event chosen yet, and I've been putting off the steps I need to take in order to move forward with my fundraising. NO MORE! I am going to start putting the time and energy into the fundraising for this worthy cause, that's so dear to my heart.
How about you???
Gayle
