I don't know if you have ME, but there is a glute raise exercise that accomplishes pretty much the same thing. Basically you stand like you are getting ready to do a forward static lunge,legs staggered, bend forward at the waist over the front bent leg, dip the front leg and press up from the front heel. Maybe somebody else might be able to explain this exercise better, but they are killer and yield quick results. I'm guessing hamstring presses on the tall step would get the glutes, hamstrings too.
