Left? Right? Left?

Cathe, I can't tell you how appreciated it is that you refer to your left side as your right for me in your workouts. I recently did a workout where the instructor did not do this, and I was shocked at how many times I did the wrong leg or arm because I did the one the instructor called out, not the mirror.

I was wondering then if you ever mix them up in your real life? LOL I was imagining you being told to turn right and turning left instead and getting lost. Or having knee surgery (hopefully never again for you!) on the wrong knee because you said right instead of left. LOL

LOL! I know she wears a band on her left wrist to remind her it's her "right"! :p I teach and when I face the class, I try to call my right my left but I've been known to goof!

Yes, every now and then I pick up a DVD from another instructor and the cueing is backwards! It confuses me, even if I know it's a DVD where it's backwards. On weights it's not so bad, b/c I eventually get to the other side, but on cardio it's terribly confuzzling. I also have a DVD by an otherwise good instructor where she mixes up the front/back and inside/outside of the step. ARGGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to cue for what the participant is doing, and Cathe gets it right every time!

I noticed the band on her wrist this morning when I did Imax 2. I had never noticed that before reading this.

I always wondered if there was some hidden meaning behind those bands. Thanks, Debbie.

Also, I always wondered if her boys knew their right from their left. You know, when you teach your kids their right from their left... does she ever get confused and think they're Cathletes when she's talking to them about that??? ha!

OMG YES YES YES Pedmom....I don't know if its age or what but lately I can't get my right from my left correct anymore. I think its because we filmed the 10 pack for so long and was in opposite mode for a few months. So yes, I am wearing a wristband all the time now to help correct myself. I actually leave it on my video right wrist to help me out for my true life right. Now that's getting really scary, isn't it  :)
