Leaner Legs

Okay, did this one for the first time this morning. I can walk, but HOLY COW!!! Now I know why it's considered so tough! It's only 33 minutes - I figured, how much trouble can I get into in 33 minutes? Yeah, I found out. This is the first workout of hers that I've done where I watched in disbelief as she continued on. It was only the static lunges, but still. Those sit squats? All I can say is OUCH!

I will definitely be adding this one to my rotation. If I can make it the whole way through, I'll have killer legs!
 
I love Leaner Legs. For me, it is her hardest leg workout. I did this one the other day and I have to mentally prepare myself. It is a great feeling when I up the weights.

*sits at her computer contemplating UPPING the weights* Yeah, not gonna happen for a while!! I can see that I will have to mentally prepare for this as well. I love the feeling I get, but I know it's going to hurt tomorrow.

Just getting through LL, no matter how much weight you use, is an accomplishment. So pat yourself on the shoulder. Well done!:) The DOMS from LL feels good, yes?:)

**hi five**!! Great job getting through "Meaner Legs"! I think it's a tough one too! I just got this one myself recently. Phew! Boy my legs are talkin' to me by the end of it!

Thank you, thank you! Yes Pinky DOMS is a really good thing. I figure if worse comes to worse and I can't walk tomorrow, I'll do tomorrow's workout on Friday (a scheduled day off!)

Cath - oh yeah! My legs are talking - they're calling me every name in the book right now. LOL All I can say is WOW!!!
 
Have you done Gym Style legs? Holy cow. Both of them are a killer. But I love those leg workouts.
 
The last time I did Leaner Legs, I actually lowered my BB to 35 lbs. and got a better workout. I guess 40 lbs. was too heavy and my form was not as good so I was going as low for my squats or squeezing as hard on the way up? Anyway, lowering my weights actually gave me more DOMS then when I did it with heavier weights. This is an awesome lower body workout for only 33 minutes!

I too love GS Legs. The slow mo lunges on this will KILL!

I have the GS series except for the legs, so it's on my "To Purchase" list. Not sure if y'all are trying to kill me or make me stronger. *winks*

I might just take it down a bit - I used 40 pounds, and I was okay with the squats, even those #@($!!! sit squats, but the lunges did me in and I can't switch weights that quickly on my barbell. I'll try it next time with 35 pounds - thanks for the suggestion Angela!
 
I sympathize with you! I did this a week ago after not doing it for quite a long time. I'd been doing mostly GS Legs and L&G. Well it kicked my butt bigtime! This is a great leg workout!

I did this again today - and it was easier the second time around only in that I knew what to expect, so I was not swearing (as much) at Cathe. I actually enjoyed it today - well, as much as you CAN enjoy torture.

I wanted to thank Angela for suggesting I drop the weight on my barbell. I actually took it down to 30 pounds (that was what was on the barbell, so I figured I'd keep it there) and really worked my legs. I'm feeling good, but I know I'll feel it in the morning. }(
What a workout!
