Leaner Legs 2nd attempt--worse than the 1st?!?!

First time I did it was last Friday, I used 35lb. barbell and kept up with everything except I couldn't complete the low-end static lunges and I skipped the 2nd set of plie squats altogether!!! Not a great showing!!!

Well, today I thought I'd redeem myself....used 35 lb. barbell again, but also kept a heavier barbell on hand for the deadlifts. Well, when I got to the static lunges, I just put the barbell down and did the whole entire static lunge segment with NO WEIGHT AND IT STILL HURT LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT!!! Am I a wimp or WHAT? Then I did the plies with the barbell, did everylast one of them, and was proud of myself for that. But all in all, I don't know if I'm pleased with myself or disappointed....maybe a little of both.

Is this a tape that will never get any easier???

I'd say you've just come up against a challenging workout! (Being a DVD buyer myself, I have to wait to see for myself). Don't dispair! It's not the amount of weight you lift that determines success in weight training, but how effectively your muscles are challenged, and it sounds like they have a good challenge! I'd say stick with the lighter weight for a while (better to have good form and train those muscles to be ready for heavier weights).

I haven't gotten mine yet, so I don't know what Leaner Legs is like but I just did SLA for the first time and thought that I went light (I could do all the reps with the weight and it was still challenging) but when I got to the floor work, I just couldn't move. I did as much of it as I could and managed to get myself together to do the abs. It felt like I hit a wall and I'm still hurting days later. I'll be thinking of you when I attempt SLA again!!

You both are so nice to encourage me about Leaner Legs, when BOTH of you are still waiting to receive your new videos/dvd's!!! Listening to all of us rant and rave about these awesome videos must be killing you! So thank you both for responding to me so kindly when you really must be chomping at the bit for YOUR turns to give Leaner Legs a try!!!!!

One thing is for sure---my legs are already feeling the effects of today's workout. They feel just as WORKED OUT as the first time thru that tape.
