Lats

Does the move from Cathe's Chest/Back slow and heavy series where you have the heavy db's in each hand, like your pulling a big bucket up and down work your lats the same way as the lat pulldowns off machine? I just want to know cuz I hate bending over with the db's in each hand pulling up and down...just don't like this move.

Rows like the ones in C/B you describe work the back a bit differently from pulldowns. Pullovers are the best alternative to pulldowns. Some say that rows work the thickness of the back, while pulldowns work more of the width.

I don't like doing the rows with both hands, because I want to lift heavier. I change this from a 2-sided move to a 1-arm lat row, with knee and hand supported on a bench, and just repeat the set on the other side.
