I've been super busy and wanted to post an update as to what's been going on. First of all, after my husband reached out to a bankruptcy attorney, he was advised that if the only reason he was filing was to buy extra time in the house, that was not a smart idea. The attorney did however talk to the foreclosure attorney and said that we made an offer and want to try to lease the house. So, we are now leasing the house for 4 months and deeded the house back to the lender in lieu of foreclosure. That meant that I got to start my new job Monday. I'm one week in on training to get my Texas property and casualty insurance license. I take my exam Friday at 1 PM. Provided I pass, I move to the next phase of training and ultimately will be contracted to Liberty Mutual to specialize in auto insurance.
I was all set to move back to my mom and step-dad's house but that all fell apart a few weeks ago. I've suspected that mom has some memory problems and after a wonderful conversation a few weeks ago about my moving plans, she called me that night and said I'm running fever and you can't come visit. My husband had no clue that I was going to leave. My stepdad was going to call the police and help me get my things out because they both knew that losing the house was my final straw. So, I went and hid in the closet and called and talked to my stepdad and said "Is my moving in with you and Mom going to be too much?" and he said yes it is. My mom had even told me I could bring Luca which was very surprising because I knew she couldn't be around dogs due to a scratch being a serious bleeding emergency. I had my entire closet emptied out everything under my bed. I was going to bring food, paper towels, toilet paper and plenty of my own personal supplies. My mom has a lot of underlying health problems and I was planning to use my CNA license and work in home health which would be the least risky to me and to her.
I'm thankful that we managed to negotiate this 4 month lease but at the end of the 4 months, the rent will double and we can't afford it. At least by that time I will be finished with my training phase of work where 100% attendance is mandatory. If I had gone to my parents house, I wouldn't have been able to set up a office area in time to start my new job. Thankfully, something told me the weekend that tentative plans were made, not to decline the job until I knew 100% I was going to their house.
For workouts, I've still been doing Pvolve because the stress level at home has been so high. But on Wednesday, I did Rock'm Sock'm Kickbox and today I did ICE Boot Camp Circuit.
