I have just added a new DVd to my collection and I was wondering if you could come up with a new rotation for me. Just in case here are the dvds I have. Basic Step plus Body Fusion, Ab hits, Low Impact Step and Total Body sculpting, And Total Body Stretch, and Timesaver blast. The new one is Low Impact Circut. I would like to leave out the step routines in timesaver blast, but I want to keep the wt. work and kickboxing. I would really appreciate your help. I will also have Kimberly Spreens Absoulte Kickboxing.

Hey Lainie,
About that rotation, can you just take out all but the kickboxing timesaver blast series with LIC I shouldn't need the wt. work.

Hey Lainie,
I won't have the Kimberly Spreen workout, but I do have Turbo Jam and my treadmill I forgot to mention, so I still want timesaver blast #4 included in rotation.

I've also added this to page 23 of my Workout Rotation Ideas Word document, which you can download (http://web.mac.com/lainiefig/iWeb/Site/Exercise/Exercise.html)

I know it can be tough following a long rotation and you don't know what will come up to interrupt your plans. So I would just suggest that you don't beat yourself up if you miss a day for some reason. You've got several circuit workouts on this rotation, which are great becuase they incorporate both cardio & weights. So if, for example, you miss a cardio day, the great thing is the next day you might have a circuit which includes cardio. Also, if it turns out you start something and it's not working that day (like you try to step but your brain is too tired to focus on the stepping) then go ahead and do something else--like switch to the treadmill which might take less focus on a fuzzy day. Does that make sense? Rotations are a great way to make sure you get good variety of toning and cardio work, but don't let it bind you so tightly that you don't enjoy it. :)

Just aim to get 2-3 days of cardio and 2-3 days of weights even if you get off your rotation one week. You'll notice that weeks 1 & 3 I put total body workouts only, but weeks 2 & 4 I switched it up with one upper body, one lower body, and one total body (which is something I like to do myself). One thing to remember is you probably don't want to do the same body part 2 days in a row (for instance avoid doing upper body two days in a row so you can rest those muscles). That's why I throw cardio days in between.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask here or send me a private message.
