Lady Speed Stick

Hi,

Can someone be a nose for me? :D

I live abroad and am going to order deodorant. The import store only sells by a case of 6, which is fine with me, since it's hot here LOL.

I use Lady Speed Stick, but my scent has apparently been discontinued (Lady Speed Stick Naturals Invisible Dry Moisturizing -- no fragrance name written).

I DESPISE the smell of powder. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sick/sick0003.gif

Can anyone tell me if any of these have any remote smell of powder in them?

******
Fruity Melon
Passion Flower
Orchard Blossom
Wild Freesia

Soothing With Aloe (no fragrance name written)
*******

Many thanks for any smellinfo!

I use the Wild Freesia, I accidentally bought the Passion Flower and had to throw it out I hated the smell of it so much. The Freesia is a softer scent, but I wouldn't call it powdery. The other scents seem pretty harsh to me. I hate fruity so that puts the melon one off my list. What I use is a deoderant/antiperspirant. I switched to it from Secret after trying natural deoderants that just didn't work for me. This has a much lower aluminum content then several brands but works great.

Hey Augie, I can't help you with Lady Speed Stick, but Dove Ultimate Clear for sensitive skin is good. It's fragrance free. I'm allergic to most deodorants ( ) and this one works well and doesn't make me break out.

I usually only use natural deodorants but I'm having to find something stronger for the summer. I really hate to use ones with the aluminum but I don't think I have a choice. I just bought Suave unscented stick the other day. Um, note to Suave, unscented means NO SCENT! x( Am I understanding correctly that lady speed stick has a lower content of aluminum than others? I would definitely like to find one that has the least amount in it.

The dove Ultimate Clear for sensitive skin contains 14.8% Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex.

Lady Speed Stick Naturals contains 16.4%.

These are both lower than most other product. Secret has about 20%, and several products are in the 17% to 20% range. I've never had problems with Dove unscented for sensitive skin. Most other deodorants make me break out.

Hopefull, thank you so much, that was really helpful! :) Definitely a lesser fragrant is the way to go.

Bam and Michele, thanks for your comments. I have to buy a case of the stuff (the supply I bought last time I was in the States is just about out), so I'm thinking to be safe and use something with which I'm already familiar, rather than finding out the hard, smelly way. ;-)

Thank you!

LOL! Yes, yes, that's the one I use, you silly, searching around on the internet. Apparently the people at Lady Speed Stick didn't think it was good enough to continue.

I found a big import store in Japan and they have all those ones above, so I'm thinking to go for the Freesia. The choice in Japan is awful!

My mom says she has never used deo/anti ever, not ever! The woman can sweat and not stink at all. Of course I didn't get those magical genes. x(

Thanks again you guys!

I don't use Lady Speed Stick, but I do use a mineral salt crystal deodorant stone which kills odor up to two days (if need be) for me. Just love it. I still perspire, but that's OK, at least I won't smell.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

I use the Orchard Blossom .. not strong scent at all .. just a little flowery .. no powder smell .. I can' stand the powder scents either!!

Thanks, Janie!

Poochy, oh that's great. I was hoping to buy two fragrances and you've helped me choose the 2nd one. I appreciate it!

Janie, which crystal do you use? I've tried them before and unfortunately I haven't had much luck in the summer. I'd be curious to know the one you use. Thanks!
