Ladies & Gents, Ms. Lunacat is an ex-smoker!

I haven't had a cigarette in ten days and I feel fabulous! :7

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories with me, emailed or PM'd me with words of encouragement or kept me in your thoughts! You really helped me through this.

It was rough but I haven't even thought about smoking in a couple days. Besides, I have so much extra energy right now, there's no way in the world I would throw that away for a puff on a coffin nail!

Now if only I could beat this Starbucks addiction.....

;-)

Becky

Congrats to you Becky! That's wonderful!

Wow! You are quite lucky that you feel so wonderful after just 10 days! 10 days is a loooong time in a "quitter's" life and most still feel awful! I know I did! It took me quite some time to be able to say "I FEEL GOOD" and to honestly say I didn't want to smoke or didn't think about it, etc.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!:7 :+ :7 :+ :7

ETA: I don't have a Starbucks addiction, but I DO have a Dunkin addiction!:9

Hey Beck, congratulations on your quit! You're doing great! This March (the 6th to be exact, lol) will be 2 years for me...and I feel MUCH better. I don't even miss 'em anymore at all! I DO hear ya on the Starbucks addiction, though...that's one I haven't quite mastered yet. :) Keep up the great work! :)

Congratulations Becky, you did a great thing for your health. You've added years to your life not to mention improvement in the quality of your life in later years when complications from smoking really start showing themselves. Keep it up. It will be worth it!

http://bestsmileys.com/signs15/11.gif[/img] Becky!!!! I have to admit....I am with you on the caffeine addiction...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/x/coffeecup.gif[/img]...:)...Carole

YEAH!!! Whoo hoooooo!!!! I knew you could!!!
And the best part is that the hardest part is over. It's excellent that you're thinking of yourself as a non-smoker. That's serious positive reinforcement. You're awesome!!!:7

Becky, how totally awesome!! I am so happy for you :) This a super mega accomplishment and you deserve a lot of high fives and pats on the back for this ;) Thank you for sharing!

Now, I'm with Ms. Wendy on the Dunkin addiction...sigh.

That's awesome, Becky! I knew you could do it, and you did!:)

Can't help much with that Starbucks addiction. The only thing that kept me away from caffeine was pregnancy. I wouldn't suggest that to you.;-) And anyway, after I got done nursing, I went back to caffeine the way a caught fish escapes back into the ocean.
