Funny you mentioned Step this Way 2, Stayfit, I was just going to give my experience with this workout. I just did this one yesterday for the first time. Yikes! It's going to take me awhile to learn the choreography. It is very complex, with a lot of turns all over the step. Let's just say, I was rarely where she was on the step. When Kristin was on the left, I was on the right. When she was in back, I was in front.
What I liked: It's great intensity. It has a little Cathe in the interval part and alot of Christi Taylor in the step routine. I was sweating even while trying to learn the workout. Alot of variety in this one! Oh, the cueing is very good as well.
What I dislike: I never comment on instructor appearance or attire, but I couldn't stand the outfits. I thought Kristin just got back from the beach. She looked like she was wearing a one piece swimsuit with shorts over it. Why this bothered me, I don't know. This look was not flattering for her figure. Also, there is alot of turns in this one. I don't know if I will ever master it.
But, I will not give up. It usually takes me 4 attempts before I master complex choreography. I will give it my all. There are 6 intervals and it is 46 minutes long. I will let you know if I master this after 3 more attempts. Anybody else have any encouraging words with this one I would appreciate it.
Mindy Mylrea is much easier to master. I have Extreme Intervals and Awesome Intervals. I like theme both. She is tough but more moderate choreography. Mindy is quite chatty, but I like it and find her humorous. Mindy uses the step vertical and horizontal, and in AI, the last part is 8 min. of straight intervals. It will get you quite winded. Her cueing isn't that great, but I find her workouts easy to catch on to. Hope this helps Stayfit.
I also just got Solid Gold Step. After just previewing it. It looks like another tough one to master, but I need to learn STW2 first before learning Christi's. This one looks pretty dancy.
