Kristi - did you succeed?

Unfortunately, I have to report no. On the Friday before I was going to officially start I went soft drink free all day. However that Saturday DH, DS, and I went to a cookout and that is all they had to drink so I only had one. I didn't know the couple well enough to feel comfortable asking them if I could go into their house to get a glass of water. That Sunday, Mother's Day, I was caffeine free though. My intention was to be caffeine free all last week, but my office manager was out of town so I was doing double duty at work. Lately my work has been more stressful than usual so I had a soft drink every day. I think I might need to limit my intake to one drink a day instead of cold turkey. I've realized that it is really hard for me to give up soft drink at work. When the baby gets here I'm sure I can give it up cold turkey since I don't have soft drinks lying around the house. If I'm lucky then maybe I can give it up before the baby is here, but in the meantime I guess the best thing I can do is limit my consumption.

Thanks for asking!

Jeepers, Kristi, one can of pop a day doesn't sound so bad at all. You used to drink a lot more, didn't you? I'm sure it will be much easier when you're not around it so much, as you said. Good job on cutting back so much!!

Cheers,
Sandra

Thanks Sandra! You are so sweet! I was drinking roughly 2 a day, which I know does not sound like much. However, I know it is keeping me from intaking more water. I guess I'll just have to make do with what I can do for right now.
