KPC vs KickMax and Cardio Kicks

I'm contemplating my next purchase - and I'm in a quandry. I have KickMax and Cardio Kicks. Is KPC that much different that I should also invest in that one, or should I get the one w/ Rhythmic Step +
Interval Max, MIC? I'm looking for a hard core, sweat my a$$ off work out...

KPC is my favorte of Cathe's kickbox workouts. Compared to CK, it uses less room, and has more authentic-kickbox moves (vs cardio moves). Compared to KM, it has no pivots in the kickbox moves (wich makes them more intense, IMO), the kickboxing is more intense, the impact is lower (and it can easily be made all low impact by modifying). The music is very powerful and has a strong beat. If you want to sweat your booty off while toning your entire body, KPC can't be beat!

Wow - sounds like I can't go wrong with KPC. I love kick boxing and I love the other workouts - especially those killer blasts in KM. I am also looking for a leg workout to get a bit of variety and Legs and Glutes sounds good.

Thanks Kathryn! I can always count on you for good advice.

I agree with Kathryn. KPC is a must have for Cathe fans. It is my favorite of her kickboxing workouts. Plus it includes L&G, which is one of my favorite of her lower body workouts (more so than LL). Lots of good premixes and music on this DVD, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you both. I ordered KPC and Legs and Glutes. Now I just have to have the patience to wait for it's arrival... I spent the extra $6 to two day air it because I'm all the way out here in California and cannot possibly wait 7-10 business days for a DVD. *shudders*

I think it also depends on the intensity level you want. KPC is more fun, but IMO Kick Max is much tougher. The blasts in that workout leave me gasping for breath. KPC has more kickboxing in it, Kick Max has more high intensity floor aerobics. KPC is probably more fun, but if you're looking to burn fat Kick Max would be more effective.

I have Kick Max and I really enjoy (?) those blasts. I'm actually thinking of putting all three in my DVD player and hitting my favorite parts of all of them. I like the second 1/2 of Cardio Kicks, and the 2nd and 3rd sections of Kick Max (I use the leg conditioning drills with my weight work for my legs but not after cardio), and I'm excited to get KPC - I'll add what I like there as well and I can finish my workout with some pikes...

I wanted to thank everyone who recommended KPC to me. I haven't done it yet. This morning was lower body weights, so I figured I'd try Legs and Glutes. Figured it would be fairly easy, after all, there's no barbell work - how tough can it be with a max of 15 pound dumbbells?

Hmm, did I ever learn my lesson. I'm sitting here in my chair at work, and I can feel every individual muscle in my legs. They are speaking to me loudly and I'm so enjoying the conversation. I do have to admit that whether or not I'll make it to my noon step class at the gym is still up in the air. Not sure the ole legs can handle more punishment.

On this workout alone, this video is worth it. I haven't even gotten to KPC - that's tomorrow! I'm so stoked!

KPC is the best kickboxing workout that Cathe has put out, IMHO. But KM has its benefits as well. I'm not fond of the blasts in KM so I don't do them, and many have said that the combos in KM are too slow. Well, I love the combos in KM as it offers a pace that is different from those in KPC, and there is nothing like the leg conditioning drills in KM. When I want a shorter workout, I just do the combos in KM and the leg drills. If I want an all-combo workout, I do the combos in KM then the ones in KPC. I like KPC more, but having KM in the mix gives me more (and better) options.
