Dear Fit Knitters:
NY25: I began my winter knitting last fall, in the hope that I would be able to get it done by this fall. Wrong. Still working on it. Have to do a power move over the next few weeks. Regarding shawls: I was going to tackle Charlotte’s Web (http://www.koigu.com/new_page_4.htm), but I kept getting lost in the lacework. I put it aside for my old age when I might have fewer brain cells but less distractions.
Suz: I would love to be in a knitting group. However, we are back to the time crunch issue.
Joanne: Glad that you are joining us. When you are ready to go to the next step and would like suggestions, please ask. Meanwhile, you may want to watch DYI’s “Knitty Gritty.” This is a knitting show that contains all types of projects, at all levels. What is cool is that they demonstrate different techniques. You might see something you want to try. The featured patterns can be downloaded for free on their web site. A few weeks ago I saw one about knitting a Moebius (http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dkng/episode/0,2046,DIY_18180_43402,00.html), which is perfect for a collection of yarns that I bought at the Maryland Sheep Festival last May.
Amy: Considering how many things you have on the needles, what does your yarn stash look like? I though I was “bad.”
Joycet: I like to quilt as well as knit. However although I have tried many other crafts, I always go back to knitting.
This month I am doing Cathe’s May premix rotation. Going to the basement to do BC every thing but core and abs from ME.
If you are first, please feel free to start the check-in.
Have a great day!
Rhonda
