Knee injury?

Hoping someone out there may have experienced this...

Yesterday the back of my knee started to hurt (I was not working out, just sitting around). It has not subsided since then, although heat helped a bit. The issue is with bending my knee. It hurts quite a bit (in the back left side) to bend past 90 degrees.

I rested my legs this morning and just did the upper body piece of MM. I normally do TaeBo for cardio, so I'm backing off of that until the pain is gone...

I know the real answer is to go to my doctor, but that is REALLY, REALLY inconvenient for me. I guess I'm trying to weigh if this is a serious injury, or if I just managed to tweak something.

Anyone experienced anything like this at all?

I am sorry that this happened. Yes, you'd probably need to get to the doctor, but in the mean-time you probably need to start taking anti-inflammatories (Ibuprofen, aleve, etc) if you don't have any other contraindications (stomach problems or heart issues).
My DH has lots of experience in this type of things. He says that if it's in the back of the knee, it may sound like a meniscus tear. He also said that ice is better as well as compression (like a knee brace/wrap) in addition to the anti-inflammatories. That way, you can tell the doctor the step that you have already taken. But, yes, you still need to get seen by a professional!
