Knee Flexor (for Maribeth but anyone can give suggestions)

Hi - My right knee flexor used to bother me when I was a runner (I did marathons). Anyway, it was fine for several years until late this Fall, it started acting up again. Could you (or anyone) please give me some exercises to strengthen it? I'm not going to the doc because it really isn't limiting my activity level or hurting. Just a twinge every so often.
Thanks, Suzanne

PS---Maribeth, could you please give me some insight into the training/schooling you needed to go through to become a PT? I'm seriously considering making a career change--at age 40!---and leaving a relatively high-paying, secure, aggravating federal job in order to do something where I can help others [will I be brave enough? hmmmm.....]

PT school is a large committment of time. The prereqs usually take about 5 semesters to complete, then the professional phase of the program is another 7 or so semesters long--full time, in most cases. There are a few programs out there designed for people already in health care that are evening/weekend programs, but they require the same number of hours.

During breaks between semesters, you will be on clinicals, which consist of working in various settings, usually without any kind of compensation.

Sounds terrible, but if I can do it, anybody can. And, time really does fly.

E-mail me and tell me more about the problem you are having and I'll see if I can add anything to what you already do.
Maribeth
