KK's November/December Check-In

Good Evening!

Today was Volume 4 of the FIRM original workouts. 42 minutes of full body and cardio workout. The time is right -- a little long for me nowadays, but it's okay.

Janie, yes, that movie is really funny, and of course Cary Grant...

Rhea, isn't that interesting that you just recently saw that movie...every bedroom with a bath. That does sound like luxury.

Am going to have to look up Charlene -- when I have a moment...

Have a super day!:D

Challenges: Push Ups on Toes with 90 sec. between sets: 20, 25, 20, 20 and 30. Whew! Pull Ups with 60 sec. between sets: 6 Assisted, 5 Australian, 6 Assisted, 5 Australian, 1 hang. After Friday I will do this week again and add one or two to the sets. This is hard! Sit Ups with 45 sec. between sets: 30, 30, 36, 36, 27, 27, 33 and 90. Then did heavy lifting for my hamstrings, quads, inner and outer thighs, shoulders, biceps and triceps.

KK, Great job on The Firm Vol. 4. That one is such a classic. Love it. I'm going to have to think about purchasing Charlene too.

Have a good one Rhea and KK and a really nice evening.

Janie

I don't know if you remember KK, but Chalene is the Turbo Jam teacher too. So you can find her at Beachbody. The workouts that I'm referring to is her Chalean Extreme, she does have a new workout program called Turbo Fire. They are all pretty short too. But more cardio type than weights. However, there is a tone and sculpt workout which use the tubing and they are only about 30 minutes a piece. She also has some HIIT which range from 15 min to 35.

Good Evening!

Today was a sort of Hiit -- but with fast feet only (running and such) -- no jumping -- a different kind of Hiit. Luckily, it too is pretty short.

Janie, all that on your toes? Go Janie! I still do push ups on my knees. Occasionally I'll do them on my toes, but that's few and far between. So well done.

You know, Rhea, I remember Charlene well. I gave all those workouts to my daughter and need to replace them and look at these new ones. I really am looking for weights that are shorter -- like about 30-40 minutes. Cathe has one -- Total Body Sculpting -- and I do it alot.

Beachbody -- that's right. I'll go and have a look.

Have a super day!:D

Good Evening!

Just thought I'd bop on the forums and see how you're all doing.

Today was Total Body Sculpting -- going a little heavy and yesterday was 4DS -- fast feet anaerobics.

Am managing to carve out a little time nowadays to write again -- not much -- 1-2 hours -- but it's something. Not going to sell another book if I don't write it.

Spent some time looking through the pictures -- anyway...hope you are both doing well and that you had a terrific weekend.

Have a super day tomorrow.:D

Glad to see that you are back to writing KK! I have not been working out a whole lot since painting the walls and such is a pretty good right arm workout in itself. I did finally get in a Turbo Fire workout in yesterday. Was going to do a weight workout this morning, but the electricity went out, so no workout. I'll try again for tomorrow morning. I have a massage this afternoon. Yummy.

Have a great rest of the day. I'll be a little scarce on the forums in the next two months as I will be squeezing in house construction between my work. I want to get it all done.

Did my challenges today. They are really getting so darn hard! I can see that I'm getting stronger though, and will continue to embrace them.

KK, Great job on TBS, I and especially my Joey, loves that one. Also great job on 4DS, I can not for the life of me do those fast feet. Any suggestions? It's so nice to hear you are writing again. Good for YOU!

Rhea, OOOOOO Turbo Fire! How is that working for you. Do you just love it, and why? They look like remarkable workouts. Are they? Hope all goes well with the house construction. When you have time to post, we'll be here for ya.

Janie

Wow everybody either must be really busy or I missed a newer thread. With my ipad, I only get the recent posts in the threads I have been on unless I am fumbling through the all of the threads. Has everone been okay? Is there a new thread up? Should we make one since it is now March? Hope all is well. I've been really busy with the house and work. Got a little sinus infection this week just before trial. Oh joy. Haven't been able to workout much. Hope to catch up soon. Here's some pix of house.

Hmm, hope everyone is doing good. I'm talking to myself here. Yes, I am procrastinating at work. Oh well.

Still have sinus infection, so no workouts for me. I have been surfing the collage video catalog. I did get some new FIRM workouts that so far was pretty fun. I've only been able to do the Cardio Overdrive one. Great lower impact, about 45 minutes, with a little light weight work. With all the stuff I am doing at the house, it will be a good one to grab when I'm short on time.

Talk to y'all later..

Did TBS with Joey using heavy weight. Added on stretches, and abs. Couldn't us as heavy weight as the last workout. Hmmmmmm.:(

Challenges today are the same as last time. I don't feel strong today for some reason. Push Ups on Toes: Always with perfect form, with 60 sec. between sets: 9, 11, 8, 8 and 11 max. Couldn't do anymore and boy was it tough. My shoulder is good. Thanks to the foam roller. Pull Ups with 60 sec. between sets: 7 Assisted, 7 Australian, 6 Assisted, 6 Australian, 1 hang. Didn't have any umph left for baby pull ups.

Rhea, I've been fine, just saw that you posted a couple of times. It's really nice to hear from you. Your house looks like it's coming along. I'm so happy for you.:D If you like to renew the thread, it's OK with me. Hope you feel better from that awful sinus infection. Great job on the Cardio Overdrive from The Firm. I'll have to take a look at that one.

You take care,

Janie

Good Evening!

I'd started a new thread. I've been going back and forth to Florida and so have been on the road and completely away from a computer and unable to log in. Whew!

The newer thread, Rhea, has some info on it about a new book on the market that it much like the Atkins diet, but different. So far, following it, I've lost those 3 pesky pounds I've been trying to attack for about 5 years now. My workouts are sorely missing. I got an allergy while I was in Clearwater and got the hives -- which I've only gotten over now that I'm home -- but I haven't been able to exercise over it and I'm missing it.

Anyway, let me find that other link and post on it so you can see this new book. I'm loving this diet -- it's almost a no painer...

Hi Janie! Am always impressed that you continue with your workouts so steadily. I'm going to get back on it now that I've caught up on my sleep and no longer have the hives. Sigh...

I'll be going back to Florida tomorrow for a few days and then home again. So bear with me. Gosh, I've got to get back to exercising. It's been a week for me -- the longest I've gone without exercise since...well, I don't remember.

Have a great one tomorrow.:D
