KK's November Check In

Good Evening!

Sunday's are always tough for me as Sat & Sun are my 8 hour days. But I am beginning to see the end of the tunnel. Thank goodness!

Janie, I once let my weight get out of hand and in order to get it back to where it was for me liveable, I lost 17 - 18 pounds. Not an easy thing to do, which I'm sure we can all relate to. I hated it so much -- it took me 3-4 months -- and the diet was so terrible, I promised myself I'd never let it get so out of hand again -- so I weigh myself pretty much daily and try my best to catch it -- I don't always, but I try.

So anyway, here's the plan for this next week:

Mon: 4DS HIS
Tues: 4DS LIS
Wed: 4DS Bootcamp
Thurs:4DS Kickbox
Fri: Drill Max -- drills only
Sat: A Circuit Workout
Sun: Off -- maybe stretch

I got a sting or a bite tonight and so I hope to be able to do this workout next week. We'll see. Have a super day tomorrow.:D

KK, How much longer do you have for these classes? I always weigh myself too. Except of course lately until I heal and am able to exercise. I've gained way over 20 pounds from not exercising. Can't wait to be able to exercise again. I hate this part of the experience the most.:mad:

Earlier this morning the stench was so bad (Oh man, WHEW)I couldn't sleep and had to take the VAC off. Also put dressing on, and I can actually see a smaller wound now. Tomorrow is time for a change in the sponge and stuff anyway. My doctor told me I could do these things if the VAC was bothering me in any way. I'm still progressing. YEH!:D Will be seeing him Friday and will know more.

Like your rotation for next week. Hey, how's your hand feeling? Georgia?

What was it a sting or a bite? Where was it to interfere in your workouts? Sorry this happened to you. Get better soon.

That's a lot of questions. Don't mind me.

Using the "puter" today.

I ran home for an early lunch and did P90 Mater Series Sweat 5/6. I think I'll be sticking to the short workouts throught the next Holiday season and all the classes I have. Just will be too short on time with all the stuff I want to do. Plus somehow, I have to work. LOL

Janie - you can see the shorter words when I'm on the Blackberry. I'm not sure if it is really faster for me or not to use numbers in the words. I can actually "thumb" type it quite fast. The Blackberry has a full keyboard, just like a typewriter, so I zoom. Every once in a while I get an extra letter in there with my fat fingers.

Well, I had better get off the computer. (at work...sssh, don't tell.)

Today was 4DS HIS -- a good workout -- today was another long day for me on course. Tomorrow I have to catch up with a little bit of work and then hopefully back on course to get it done, done, done. I am so homesick.:confused:

Janie, am so glad that the wound is smaller -- that's good news. There's 3 separate parts -- I'm done with part 1 and am almost done with part 2 -- so it's finally getting there. People who do this full time get through it much faster than I do -- I just am having to work while I'm here and so it's slower for me unfortunately.:(

The hand is so much better -- it's still healing, believe it or not. And Georgie is doing so well. The sting or bite was to the back of my neck -- and it doesn't look quite like a spider bite -- it might be one of those red ants bites -- it's still a little sore and quite red.

Am so out of it this season -- am so into getting through what I'm trying to do and get home. Still afraid it's going to be a sparce Christmas for us this year.:confused: Alota sad faces here.

Rhea, when my time is at a premium, I, too, must do shorter workouts. Times are busy, that's for certain. The blackberry has a full keyboard, huh? Wow -- isn't it really small? Like a phone? Am I thinking of something else? I know my daughter is thinking of getting a blackberry -- so I thought it was a phone.

Anyway...

Jeanette, hope your workouts and your days off are fun -- your workouts often do inspire me.

Today was GS Back, Biceps and Shoulders, a timesaver premix, then added on some forearm and wrist curls and some more shoulder work with a ball. Had a nice weekend with a bike ride, 18 holes of golf on Sunday with a girlfriend, a baby shower and finished stacking wood. Also got the leaves raked. Hopefully, DH will start burning them.

Karen, hope the bite doesn't affect you much. Your body seems to be very sensitive to those bites and stings. So glad the hand is doing better. Things just take longer to heal when we get older, I'm sorry to say. I have a couple of elbow ouches myself.

Rhea, bet you are enjoying that Blackberry. Yep, shorter workouts for me too, but I'm just lazy:p.

Janie, so glad the wound is healing. So the doc is checking it out on Friday. Please keep us posted. Sounds like he will be happy about the healing.

Must run. Was over at my Mom's last night. We got her laptop hooked up to wireless. It was a chore, but we got it done. Yeah!
 
Good afternoon.

Sneaking in at work again. I ran home at lunch and did the P90 Scuplt 5/6. Was about all I could do, unfortunately I had a little muscle twitch this morning which turned into a tight, pain in the neck. Literally. So this evening will be spent doing nothing much, maybe getting some computer work done. I really have to get bills finished up, but can't spend too much time at the keyboard. I'll take amuscle relaxant tonight and hopefully sleep the kink out!

Today was LIS -- and it was great. Am liking it more and more. I really need to revisit LowMax, as well, now that my legs are a little stronger.

Jeanette, it does sound like a great weekend for you. Bike ride, friends and a baby shower. Love the smell of a wood stove, so hopefully you'll be burning that wood soon. Yes, I do seem to be sensitive to these bites -- unfortunately for me. Great that you got your mom all hooked up on wireless. I'm still on dial-up.:eek:

Rhea, that blackberry sounds like fun. Am glad that you got in a short workout at least -- and how's that neck? Hopefully those muscles will calm down.

Janie, yes, please do let us know about your doctor's appointment. Hope all is well with you.

Am putting in a little more time when I can on this course. Am really pushing to get home.

Today was Amy Bento's Hi-Lo Dome, 2 combos with blasts, then did the abs from Cardio & Weights. Tonite is a bike spin session. Have to sit in a class all day today and tomorrow so will be needing the cardio.

Karen, ooooh, dialup. I remember those days and would not like to go back to that. Can you get hi-speed? Glad you enjoyed LIS today. Are you coming home for Thanksgiving? DH flying out?

Jeanette, I'm OK, had a pity party yesterday and much better today. Still have the VAC and will be seeing my PS Friday. The worst thing about all this is I can't exercise and I'm gaining weight, I hate that with a passion. There is nothing I can do about it until I heal. YUCK! Your workouts are tough. You sure are inspirational. You are doing a really good job.

KK, I love low max, you do get stronger legs with that one. Dial Up? Your living in the stone age. Just kidding, LOL!

Rhea, how's the kink in the neck? Hope all is well with that. Try some Tylenol, it works for me.

I'm practicing on my lock picking skills. I have a lock my Joey gave me that is very challenging. It is a Black Rhino half round lock that is big and heavy. There is a lot of room inside the chamber. I'll just keep at it until I solve the puzzle.

Also will do some more painting today. This is also a challenge for me. Keep me busy.

Will see how you all are doing later today.

Today was 4DS Boot Camp, one of my favorite workouts. Tomorrow I plan 4DS Kickbox -- that one is a little long and I'll have to figure out how to make it a little shorter. Today was my birthday -- I could do without them nowadays. Am working really hard to get this new story written and to also get through the course as quickly as I can. Am really throwing in everything in me to get this done and get home.

Jeanette, yes, you do inspire me to do more and do better. :) DH isn't flying out and I'll probably be here -- putting in more time on my course. I tried to get hi-speed on this little computer of mine, but I just couldn't find the right software to hook it up -- tried really hard. So I'm still on dial up. :eek:

Janie, I love this graphic -- reminds me so much of home. I'm sorry that this is having an effect on you that is hard on you. Hang in there, Janie. This, too, will pass. How is that painting coming? And did you figure out that lock? That's a great skill to have.:cool:

I've been banned from the meez site. I'll try to explain, it was just something that was irresistible. I found a game on the site. When you played it, no matter if you win or lose, it will give you 3 coinz free (those are meez money to purchase stuff). So I abused (played the game as often as I could) it and collected a lot of coinz. The meez site caught on and banned me. I gave them a very humble apology but I don't think they will care. I told them how much I enjoyed their site and told them to take everything away so I can continue to use the meez on the forums. That was tonight, but like I said, I doubt if they will let me. More than likely you won't be seeing the little meez anymore. DARN! I feel so embarrassed. But then again, they must know about the game, so why don't they just get rid of the game instead of their customers? No matter what I say, I guess it was still wrong, but they didn't say that it was wrong, there was no rules to follow...oh well. (head down in shame).

Do you all still want a thief on board? If not I'll understand.

Today GS Legs, some weight work and all of the floor work. Last night was a spin session with the Garage Boys for about 45 minutes. Tonite is housecleaning.

Janie, you'd think the Meez people would just reset you and let you back on. Jeez, or should I say Meez, it's just a game. The lock picking sounds interesting but I wouldn't have the patience. I was thinking of you today when I looked at my duck pictures. Actually, my workouts aren't too tough. I get bored and have been doing a part here, part there. Couple combos of this, couple of that...

Karen, Happy Birthday to you!!!!! Hope you got to go out to dinner or something fun. I am sorry you won't be home for Thanksgiving. Could you maybe get someone to help install the software for your computer? Wish I was there and could help you.

Oh yes, I got a kettlebell last night, then ordered a DVD to do it by. The guy who has the garage that we do our spin (bike) in had a few and was selling one of them as he had shoulder surgery and doesn't think he'll be able to use the heavier ones (I bought an 18#er). I'm excited but will wait until I get a tutorial for the KB. Don't want to hurt myself.

Gotta run, all day training again at work.

Am checking in a little earlier today in the hopes of getting more sleep at night and getting up earlier -- we'll see. Today was 4DS Kickbox -- I tweeked it a bit to make it a 60 hour workout instead of 70 minutes -- I know it's only 10 minutes more, but that's 10 minutes.

Janie, makes me think that meez has something going on, instead of you. You're no thief and we all know it. Besides, you didn't know. There was the game -- they hadn't posted any rules. Duh-h-h-h. :confused: Bad business decision to ban you from the site. Sometimes in talking about these things, you run into people who just couldn't care less, or have other fish to fry -- you might try calling back and finding someone different, someone with more empathy, and state your case again. You might find a different decision. It's kinda a rule for me. If someone is giving me trouble for something that just doesn't make sense -- I hang up and try to find someone else to talk to -- some people are just negative no matter what you do.

Jeanette, okay, forgive me, but what's a kettlebell. You are so up on all these things -- sometimes I feel a little lost on all the things in the exercise world. I just keep trying to do what I know works for me. Anaerobics is big for me right now since I'm getting up there in age because it stimulates the HGH naturally in your body. Had someone guess my age at almost 25 years less than what it is, so I think the exercise is doing some good. Maybe they were being kind, also...;)

Rhea, how's the neck? Hope you're doing well. Any chance of a massage?

Hi everyone!

Another class today here in Reno. Also took the car in for some work, it has morphed from just a few hundred $ to ovr a thousan. Err. I shd hv practically new car by the time I'm done fixing all the things on this car. Oh well.
Janie - it seems to be the meez's problem. There shd be rules listed if there is too much playing of the game. Their problem.

KK - still tight neck and shoulder. All this sitting gets to me.

Well, I had bettr get back to listening. (Even thought I multi-task pretty easily LOL)

Today was intervals 4-7 of Low Max. I did it with 2 risers to make it a little harder, but still short. Tonite will be a golf game.

Janie, hope all goes well on your doctor's visit today and he sees improvement. Heard from Meez yet?

Karen, kettlebells are a weight with a handle on it. I'll be using an 18#er. You do swings with it and it's very much a cardio/weight workout. Works multiple muscles but supposed to be great for the lower body and core too. Just Google "kettlebells" or do the search feature on this site and you'll see tons of threads on it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, will check back on Tuesday. Tomorrow we are doing a Rhino ride out either in the desert or woods.

Rhea, vehicles can cost a lot of money, I don't envy you there. Hope your tight neck and shoulder gets better.

Jeanette, Enjoy the Rhino rides tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you and how much fun it will be.

My PS says things are fine, a little improvement this time. They want me to go to Group Health 3 times a week instead of twice to change the VAC system. I'm so glad to, because it gets pretty stinky, now it will be less stinky. YEAH!

I am able once again to exercise. I need to watch the seal on the vac and if there are any leaks I know what to do. Also I will have to disconnect myself from the vac while I'm exercising. YEAH! Here we go again. I'll start tomorrow (Sat.) with a cardio. Tonight, I'm going to enjoy eating. Tomorrow is a fresh start here on out. I can't wait for tomorrow to come! It sure is a roller coaster of a ride isn't it?

Today was cardio only from Drill Max -- the 46 minute workout with 8 intervals. Was a good workout. Tomorrow I'll probably do a circuit workout premix from Step Blast -- they have some shorter circuit workouts, which I kinda need on a Saturday -- these are my busiest days -- gee, that spelling doesn't look right.

Janie, good news from your PS -- and you can exercise again -- yea! -- and without the vac -- double yea! I listen to talk radio now and again, and I noted that there's a site that advertises a tea that it healthful -- but they say it also helps to lose weight -- so I thought I'd pass along the link: www.getthetea.com -- I haven't used to the tea to recommend it -- just noted it. : ) Actually I really like the picture of you. : )

Rhea, Yeah, I just had my car in for a problem as well and what was a $280 bill turned out to be a $400.00 bill -- I guess that's better than it getting to be a $1000 bill -- but still, that's alot for me. Yeah, sitting gets to me, too.

Jeanette, realized today that probably the reason I find these low impact workouts to be so much harder is the amount of leg work in them. Hopefully now that my legs are stronger, I'll be able to do them without too much strain. Ah, so that's what kettlebells are. They sound fascinating. Can't wait to hear how your workouts go with them.

Mornin everyone,

I did 28 min. of Low Impact Step. I felt I might trip so I stopped there. Slowy but surely I'll increase my cardio. I used up 224 calories and after this post I will be making a protein shake that's probably 300 calories. This will be my lunch. For breakfast I had shredded wheat and 3/4 cup of no fat soy milk.
I plan on a turkey salad tonight with vigies and another protein drink a couple of hours before bed. I have to tell you, this feels so wonderful.

KK, Thank you for the link on the tea. It sounds very interesting. You had a great workout! Good for you. I love drill max as well.

Jeanette, Happy Birthday! Hope you are having fun with the Rhino.

It's Sunday,

We did Body Sculpting today and I ate what I was suppose to. I'm starting off very good on my scheduled routines. It's been only two days, but I feel the pounds will start to come off now. First probably fast, then slower as time goes on. That's OK, I'll just add either more cardio or more muscle workouts. I just can't believe I'm getting this done. I love exercising, I always have.
