KK's June Check In

Good Afternoon!:)

I feel like spacey Kaysey. Forgot to post last night and also missed posting on my blog this morning. Haven't yet walked as had a slight emergency this morning, but will try to do it in a little while.

Rhea, I was going to ask the same question that Jeanette did and see if you were going to have to move and I see that you will have to eventually. And after all the work you;ve done on the house. But I know you'll be happy no matter where you go. Will you transfer work down there? Yeah, I can see that it might be a little lonely this next year. But we're here.

Janie, how I love this graphic. I love the painting and the scenery in this one. Hope that gardening goes well -- plants and almost be as persnickity as cats.

Jeanette, well done on Cardio & Weights -- one of my favorites. And on the golf, too.

Georgie is frustrated, I think. He wants so bad to play with the other older cats, who don;t want to have much to do with him. But it will even out I;m sure.

With no workouts and such I've gained back the 5 lbs I had taken off.x( But there's no getting around it, I fear. Have a super day, everyone.:7

Morning,
Today was the cardio from HIS and LIS. Last night was a bike hill climb with a couple girlfriends. It was windy but favorable for our hill climb (wind at our back). Today will be shopping after work as I am hosting my brother's birthday party tomorrow night.

Karen, know you will take off the 5# as soon as you can start working out again. Has the doctor checked to see if your hand is healing? Hope those other cats loosen up soon and see how much fun 'Lil Georgie can be.

Rhea, being near San Fran for the cultural stuff will be nice. Oh my! I can't even imagine moving from here but I'm such a stick in the mud.

Hi Rhea,

Jeanette

Good mornin,

Jeanette, It's great to hear you are enjoying your bike rides. How was your brother's birthday party?

Rhea, Ouch! A muscle migraine sounds awful! Hope you are feeling better.

KK, What kind of slight emergency did you have? Were you able to walk lately? Hope everything continues to mend.

I haven't been able to transplant my vegies cause of the rain. So they are getting more yellowish as days pass. If you try to plant in soggy soil it ends up clay like after the sun comes out. I just have to hang in there.

Today is cardio, and I'll be doing Christy Taylor. Love her workouts.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good morning!

Back on the workout band wagon for me. Yesterday was Turbo Jam's Fat Blaster (figured I wouldn't work the back too much with that one) and then I had time since DH left to go play the with camaro and the guy that is painting it, so I added on the Lower Body Sculpt. I think I probably will have a wee bit of DOMS....okay, a lot, I'm not going to fib. So today, I thin I'm going to sneak out of here and go do Cardio Colletibles as a lunch time workout.

Well, I had better run, got some rearranging of the schedule to do....

Good Evening!:)

Exercise for me today was walking the dogs and then a walk for me, as well. Walking the dogs is like getting back on the horse for me. They have been trained a little and I love them so much, but they are a handful for sure. Can't wait to get back on the exercise bandwagon myself.

Jeanette, your exercise sounds great -- I love LIS and HIS. Have fun at your brother's b-day -- I bet it will be fun. Glad to see that the bike riding is going well, also.

Janie, sorry you have put in all this work and the weather isn;t cooperating. Glad to see you're doing your cardio today.

Rhea, your message was so filled with enthusiasm that I can just bet that you had fun exercising. Also sounds like that migrane is gone, thank goodness.

Midnight, my black male cat, was playing with Georgie today and Georgie just perked right up. Georgie has such a crush on Kali, my youngest female cat, but she wants nothing to do with him -- but he gazes at her with such adoration, it;s so cute.

Anyway, have a super day, everyone. :7

Darn, lost my post.

Today was The Viper, or most of it anyway. Brother's birthday party tonite.

Rhea, hope you enjoyed Cardio Collectibles.

Janie, hope those plants survive the transplant okay. Hoping for good weather for you.

Karen, nice that Georgie got to have some fun. Be careful with the dog walking.

Gotta run,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Yes, I did have a great workout yesterday. Did the entire Cardio Collectibles, no low blood sugar, plenty of energy. I was really surprised at my numbers at the end. My HR average was only 122 and I was in the training zone for just over 40 minutes. I usually only hit the zone for about 20 minutes. Maybe it was because I kept reminding myself not to hold my breath when I was concentrating on the moves. LOL

Today I think I will endeavor to do Body Max 2. Sounds pretty good to me.

Karen - I could visualize Georgie lying on the floor with his head on his paws, ears cocked forward and trying to wow Kali into liking him with his gaze. The young ones so want to play and the older kitties just cop attitude! But they are fun to watch. Is Georgie going to go with you back to Fl? He was such good company for you I hope he can go.

Janie - is it still soggie?

Jeanette - have fun at brother's b-day party tonight. I haven't done the Viper for a while. Might have to dust off that one soon.

Have a great day everyone!

Mornin everyone,

Rhea, Enjoy your doms. That's a good sign. Cardio Collectibles is so much fun. Do you know if Christy will be coming out with another DVD soon? Body Max II, WOW! It is still soggy and not near warm enough yet, but I've been transplanting anyway, hoping for the best. I saved one plant from each group just in case it doesn't die in the green house and can later be transplanted when the weather is better and warmer. We'll see, it just doesn't look good this year.

KK, sounds like Georgie will be just fine. Aren't they adorable (our animals)? Enjoy your walks.

Jeanette, The Viper, OH MY, that's a tough one. Thank you for your warm wishes about my garden.

Went to the docs because I'm having pain and itchy problems with my breast implants. I asked her if I would be able to have explants done. She referred me to a plastic surgeon and I have an appt. on the 20th for a consultation. In the meantime, I really can't exercise because, well, it hurts. Right now all I can do is walk and have a tight bra on for support

Joey and I have a date at the Zoo tomorrow, this will be a lot of needed fun.

Have great workouts everyone, and a great day,

Janie

Good Evening!:)

It was much walking for me today, plus walking the dogs a little bit tonight. Will be glad when I can do more bit for now this is fine. Am 1/2 way through my taxes so am hoping to get them to our accountant on Monday. Still tire easily so I do catch naps throughout the day.

Georgie will be going back with me to FL -- you are so right -- he is excellent company. But goodnss how he eyes Kali, who although she's my youngest, is about 7 years old.

Jeanette, I don't have the Viper but I hear it;s intense -- so well done for doing it -- hope your brother;s B-day party was good.

Rhea, your enthusiasm really leaps off the page -- wonderful to see this -- and 40 minutes in your zone -- wow! Enjoy BM2 -- I love this workout too, although I seldom have time to do the entire workout.

Janie, you are such a conscientious gardener. Your plants must thrive. Sorry to hear about the implants -- sure dp hope you can get them removed with little or no problem. Science, don't ya just "love" it? And the zoo sounds like such fun. Hope you both enjoy it.

Well, have a super day everyone -- I'll be doing taxes tomorrow -- hope to have them done by Sunday.:7

Good morning,
Today was Christi Taylor's Core Cardio. I'd done the step before but never the core conditioning part. It was a nice change. She's so talented! Last night's birthday party for my brother was nice. Everyone in the family had a good time visiting. May go play a little golf tonite. Tomorrow is an organized bike ride around Lake Almanor.

Karen, glad you are getting those taxes done! Will be nice to get them behind you. My parents have a new kitten that is a livewire.

Janie, how was the zoo? How fun! We don't have anything like that in our little town. When Rhea moves, she will be closer to all that kind of stuff. Hope you can get the breast implants taken care of.

Rhea, great job on Cardio Collectibles! Sounds like you are feeling off the chart good!

Hope everyone has a good weekend! See you all on Monday.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Well, Hmm, okay, I was sort of a chicken. I started BM2 and then remembered how those body max workoutswere, cardio, more power cardio circuits and then weights. I was not up for that much cardio, so I ended up doing the warm-up and the first section (when it dawned on me that I was doomed because there was more cardio..was a little low on the blood sugar levels and too much caffeine from the morning coffees.....lol). So I popped in the 4DS series and did the legs only premix on the Kickbox/Boot Camp. I really like those premixes, but my legs don't quite appreciate them at the moment. I heavied up on the weights a bit too....ooof...

Today will be a short type of cardio, probably a turbo jam and maybe some upper body. Depends on the time I have. My rhomboid is out a bit again, nice little knot back there. Must have slept wrong. OH well, Chalene will help me work it out.

Well, must run. Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Evening!:)

Had a good weekend -- just working on taxes and such, but had a good friend come over to help me with some of my work and that so helps. So now I have my taxes done except for two items I need -- then they are off to our accountant. Yea, and deep breath. Then I made my own Eziekiel bread this weekend including fermenting the pinto beans and lentils. I noticed that the Eziekiel bread has soy and millet and both can contain Thyroid inhibitors, which I;m trying to avoid right now. So I looked on the package and put in equal parts of all six grains/beans and fermented them all and then made them into breads. Interesting. They came out well but I guess the most important part is that I can have the bread without too much guilt.

It's still walking for me although I did try ti run last night and it went okay. Its really hard to keep off the weight without my regular exercise, but I;m trying, but all five pounds came back on. Deep breath.

So my rotation is still walking I;m afraid. Now with the taxes done I can concentrate on my correspondence and that new proposal.

Jeanette, how was the bike ride on Friday? Was it beautiful? Am so glad that your brother;s B-day party went well. And how was the weekened?

Rhea, you do seem on a roll -- how are those romboids? Did Chalene help?

Janie, how are you doing and how is that garden? We will be putting in some tomatoes and possibility zucchini soon.

Have a super day.:7

Good morning!

Yep, Chalene helped, but then all the driving and stress of being around my mother all weekend put it right back...darn. It is a bit better this morning. I'll put Chalene to work on it again this afternoon.

Was in the car a lot this weekend. Took a trip down to see my step-grandpa who is now 100 years old. Nice trip, got to see a bunch of relatives that I have not seen for years and some that I have never met.

Will be traveling again this week to Foster City with DH, so I hope that this knot stays away. Have a great day everyone and I'm off to work......

Morning,
Today was LIC, except abs, ran out of time. Tonite will be the ladies bike ride. Played golf yesterday after work. What a beautiful evening it was. Then came home and mowed lawns.

Rhea, wow, 100 years old! What can I say? Good genes there.

Karen, nice that you had a friend come and help you. Must be nice having those taxes behind you. Does the wrist hurt? Do you enjoy the bread baking?

Hi Janie,

Jeanette

Good morning!

How is everyone on this beautiful day?

Yesterday I did the 20 minute Turbo Jam and then added on the first segment of the Turbo Sculpt. Cardiowise I could have done more, but shoulder/back wise it was just enough. I'm going to attempt to golf tonight. Lots of water today and some ibuprophen to keep the swelling down may help.

Well, I guess I should get to work. Have a great day!

Good Morning,

KK, How's the walking going any better? Sure do hope things are progressing for you. I hear a lot (sorta) on Eziekiel Bread. Did you really like it enough to bake more? Don't worry about the 5 pounds, once you are back on tract, it will come off. Just heal first.

Jeanette, Can't get enough of Christy Taylor's cardio's. Don't you just love them? Her cuing is fantastic. The Zoo was great. We must have walked 5 miles that day. Sounds like you had a great time golfing.

Rhea, Do you recommend Turbo Jam and if so, anyone in particular or any routine you like best? You have a centenarian in the family? That's amazing. I may want to live that long also. Have fun in Foster City with your DH. Enjoy your golfing season.

I've planted every thing I had from the greenhouses to the gardens. I'm so surprised that all are still alive and most are growing. YEAH!

Have great workouts everyone. I'm sorry I couldn't be on the forums for awhile, I've been so darned busy.

Good late afternoon!:)

Had an interesting day yesterday. A friend of mine has a daughter whom she wants to get into drug treatment -- and her daughter has been staying with me off and on. Anyway, the time was yesterday to get it all together to send her to a place called Narconon in Michigan -- but she had her belongings strewn all over LA. So she and I last night went to collect as much of her things (clothes and such) as we could, but it entailed me driving her (broken hand and all) into South Central and Compton, and we were out late at night from about 8:30 PM until 3 AM. It was frightening to me, I must admit -- and there was one time when we were in a trailer park in south central and it was a bit nerve wracking I must admit.

But we got hold of as much of her belongings as we could and I got her off to Michigan this morning, but I was up until 5AM this morning helping her pack and everything. A bit of an adventure. But no workout for me yesterday or today -- not even walking -- just too busy.

Jeanette, it feels great to have the taxes done -- have 2 more items to collect and then off to our accountant. The hand is healing and I;m doing more and more though I'm still hunting and pecking but I;m getting pretty good with just using two fingers of my right hand. Love LIC and so good that golf was beautiful.

Rhea, interesting the stress level when relatives come to visit, huh? 100 years old. Love it. Have fun talking to your step grand papa. Hope that the shoulder stays cleared up for you.

Janie, yes, I love the Eziekel bread -- it's the only kind that I can eat that doesn;t seem to make those pounds creep on -- glad that the garden is doing so well. Hope to get our garden in the ground soon.

My plan is still walking and a little run here and there, too, maybe. Have a super day! :7

Morning,
Today was 4DS Kickbox, then the abs from it. Tonite will be golf with a couple of girlfriends. Last night's hillclimb ride was good. There were 3 of us and we had a great time on the downhill. Fun ride, but a good workout on the way up.

Karen, that must have been scary being in some rough neighborhoods at night. Glad nothing happened. Glad the hand is healing up.

Janie, I definitely think Christi is the BEST cuer. It just works well for me. I like not having to memorize so much and just responding to cues. Her cuing gives me enough time to respond Glad the plants are taking off. I planted some succulents in containers last night.

Rhea, how did the golfing go? Hope you are feeling better with that.

Have great days today!

Jeanette

Good morning!

Did Christi's Totally Hot Cardio yesterday. I love her cueing too. Sometimes I have to remember that she cues the next step ahead and not right on top of the one you are doing. (does that make sense?) I'll sometimes screw up and get a step ahead because of my not paying attention! Also golfed nine holes yesterday with the ladies. Played pretty lousy, but the back/shoulder was okay. I'm stiff this morning and unfortunately, I feel a bit of that muscle migraine tension in my head, so I'm going to be doing a lot of stretching today to keep it away. Typing and sitting at my desk (well, and driving/riding in a car) are the worse for me. But can't avoid the sitting. Might be a bit hard to stand and type at the same time....lol...but hey, I could try it. My keyboard is wireless.

Not sure what I have in store for workout today. Some sort of weights, I'm thinking GS legs or one of the 4DS that has the legs, I think that is the Kickbox one. I might not do the cardio, the jabbing etc, can tighten up the back a bit. Well, I had better get to work; lots to do and I'm off tomorrow and Friday for a trip to the city...whoo hooooo.....

Have a great day and a great weekend everyone!

Good Evening!:)

Today was a walk yet again, but with a little run as well. Tomorrow I go into the doctor -- well at least to pay and make an appointment probably to see the doctor. Also am ordering the Basic Step DVD from Cathe as I figure I;m going to need to work up to the more advanced DVD's that I have.

Jeanette, your bike rides seem really fun -- am so glad that it was good yesterday and also the golfing. Didn;t answer one of your questions yesterday and so -- yes, I do like to bake bread -- I've gotten into not buying any processed food -- when I;m home I make it all from scratch -- it's more kitchen time, but I think it;s worth it.

Rhea, hope that headache didn;t materialize. and hope that you got in the workouts that you were planning. What did you finally decide to do? Standing typing? Sounds somewhat like text messaging -- how my daughter does it so fast, I don;t know.

Hi Janie -- hope all is well with you.

Have a super evening and a great day tomorrow!:7
