KK's July check-in

Good Afternoon!

Janie, thank you for keeping the forum going. Sorry I've been MIA, also. Tough, tough times for us, too. With me laid off from writing, I've taken on two jobs along with the job of my husband's business -- and I'm afraid time just isn't on my side right now.

Janie, I'm going to go back and read all your posts -- I just wanted to get here and post. We're still in July and we're halfway through August.

Am still keeping up the workouts, but now I have to be up early in the morning and out the door and so my workouts are now late afternoon -- before supper -- today was another Hiit -- 30/30 -- another fav or mine -- yesterday was an older FIRM -- 30 minutes with...can't remember her name. Am planning another FIRM tomorrow -- we'll see how that one does -- probably the original old FIRMs are my favorite -- esp. #4, cause of the time factor.

We go to Las Vegas tomorrow for a few days -- I'm speaking to their writer's group there -- and then home.

Not sure life will quiet down anytime soon. But I'm hoping that it will. I'll post more, Janie, after I read your posts.

Rhea, how is your FIL. I hope he's doing well. And I hope you're doing well.

Have a super evening!:)

Good Afternoon!

I just read all your posts.

Janie, I've watched Food INC, as well as THE FUTURE OF FOOD -- have you seen that one? It's why we eat only organic and buy from farmer's markets when we can and buy US unless it becomes absolutely impossible (like with workout shoes). Have not been able to find any that fit me that aren't made in China.

We stopped shopping at WalMart or what my husband calls ChinaMart, cause almost without exception what's there is from China.

It's scary what's happening to the food supply. Did you see that last week some French went in and destroy all of the grape GMO crops that were experimentally being grown there? They were trying to send a message that we don't want GMO foods.

Truly is scary, because that, as well as the bee population situation, could create problems. I've decided that Monsanto is probably one of the most evil corporations on earth. I heard once that in their own cafeteria, they don't allow GMO foods, and yet they are the GMO giant, patenting seeds and genetically altering them.

Who ever heard of patenting life? How can life be patented without creating for one and all a sort of slavery for our children? Deep sigh.

Gotta run. Like many of us nowadays, life has become extremely busy for me. Have a super evening.:)

Walked Rolly 45 min. and did Step Heat. Burned 400 calories. Not bad, and I ate really well today.

KK, I know there is a lot on your plate always.

I'll be looking to watch The Future Of Food.

Yes, our food supply is so very scary to me. I'm going to the Farmers Market this weekend.

I'm also not shop at Walmart, unless I absolutely have to.

I agree with you on Monsant, it's pure evil. How can they do that? They wiggled their evil self into making it a law not to ruin their genetically altered seeds. If I recall some of the people were the Bushes, not surprising to me, idiots. Not right!

Janie

Did Forza today with Ilaria Montagnani. Really hit the arms big time. Also walked Rolly 45 min. Only burned 344 calories today. Will take a weekend rest, except walking Rolly and will start on STS with my Joey Mon.

Have a good one,

Janie

Hi all!

Sorry been so MIA myself these days. Everything is just so hectic and the computer internet at work has been down, so haven't been able to get here. I've been working out like mad still. I think I need to slow a bit though since I've been really tired lately. So, I'm not working out today. (I even had three days off last week, but I guess that wasn't enough)

I'll start STS Meso 3 week number 3 tomorrow, along with some sort of cardio.

Hope you are all doing great and not too extremely busy.

Today was STS disk 1, chest, shoulders, and biceps. 50 min. also abs and speed walked Rolly for a 30 min. Total calories burned were 553.

Rhea, It's so good to hear from you. I miss your connection.

I know how that goes when the computer stuff is not working. I'm starting to workout like crazy, but I need it and so far I've been sleeping more, so not as tired.

Great job on STS, I'm doing it too. First day of Meso 1. Love it!

Take care,

Janie

Hello!!

Did that darn plyo legs again today. I remember it being really hard last time, but I think that the Turbo Fire workouts are working quite well since all that jumping etc is not so hard any more. In fact Step Moves is more of a steady state type of workout for me now.

Only four more workouts in this round of STS. I think I'm going to do a round of the workouts as set forth...oh for pete's sake, sound like an attorney there...set forth? I'm going to do the workout rotation that came with Turbo Fire and then maybe do the combo rotation with the Chalean Extreme.

Better get going. Have a great rest of the day.

We have Chasie (5 year old grandson) with us tonight. I put him to bed and he came out while I was doing MMA Boxing. Needless to say, I didn't finish it. Poor little guy, he missed his MaMa tonight, so I loved him and played on the computer until he was tired enough to go to sleep. That means double workouts for me tomorrow, Disc 3 and MMA Boxing, or I can do MMA Boxing on Sat. Then Saturday noonish, Monique (another daughter) will visit and walk her dog along with Rolly and me. Should be fun.

Rhea, You are improving in leaps and bounds. Great job! 4 more workouts in STS, not to long now. Yeah! Your rotation with Turbo Fire/combo rotation w/ Chalean Extreme sounds really good.

Take care,

Janie

Good Evening!

Like Rhea, I want to apologize for not being on the forums very much. I sure do hope that life settles down again, but in truth,I don't have much faith in that at the moment.

I'm just going to try to post somehow everyday. I've been keeping up with the workouts. Mostly Hiit workouts and Bootcamps and such -- and some FIRM's too for the circuit workouts with time that is something I can do (about 40 minutes max).

I've read all your post. Janie, enjoy! Your posts are so upbeat, it's just a joy!

Rhea, I've been delving into law a little lately (as I have a court case coming up) and my respect for what you do just goes up and up. :D

I'll try to be on the forums more often -- tried to buy the pre-sale tonight but the buttons weren't working for me. Will try again tomorrow.

Have a super day tomorrow!

Good Evening!

So today I bought the new workouts. No workout for me today. Busy, busy, busy day.

Hi to everyone and have a super day!:D

Glad you bought the new workouts KK, they look awesome. I should be ready for them when they come out. Don't worry about being here, I know how it is, life just gets in the way doesn't it?

Janie - sounds like you've been pretty busy with family lately. It is great that they are close enough to visit often. Some of mine are actually too close...lol

Well, we finally broke ground on the house, so it is on its way up. Now if work could just slow down a bit.

Have a great day everyone. Talk to you soon.

Was raining all day long, couldn't walk Rolly. Don't know what I'm going to do when it's rainy season for Rolly. Maybe he can get used to the treadmill with me. Hmmmmmm. Did 30/30 and burned 303 calories.

Rhea, LOL, about some of your family live to close. Good going on braking ground on the house, and I hope work gets better and slows down for ya.

KK, Understand about not being able to post everyday. Sometimes I can't either.

Janie

Good Evening!

Thanks so much for understanding about not being able to post all the time. Life does get in the way, you're so right, Rhea.

You made me laugh aloud with the family that lives too close. I can understand that, too.

And Janie so glad you got that workout in. Boy we could use some of that rain.

We have quite a garden this year. Beets, corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, lettuace, broccoli. We even had some barley growing upstairs and grapes, but the grapes still aren't producing grapes yet.

Today was Bootcamp 4DS -- my fav anaerobics workouts for the ii muscle fibers or is it the i muscle fibers -- can't remember. Anyway, it was good.

30/30 is another favorite. Good workout -- tough, but good.

Have a super day, everyone, and hope the work calms down so you can enjoy that ground breaking. How exciting!:D

Hey, I think I'll start us up that September thread since the July one is getting a little long in the tooth.

If I knew how to get that link here I will add it in a minute.
