KK's January Rotation

Hello there!

Jeanette, I sure hope that cold goes away for good soon. Also, best of luck with DH's surgery next week. I'm sure that everything will go great.

Well, back to work...

oops, yesterday, I received my turbo jam live and did that one (totally fun workout) along with one call Finding your Core. I'm surprised that I can walk this morning. I really thing that Finding your Core should be renamed....Finding your Rear. It really works those gluts!

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

Wasn't feeling so great myself this morning and so I did Legs & Glutes as I figured it was a fairly easy one...well, sort of -- if you cheat...

Rhea, you really bring a smile to my face so much with your quick wit and comments about work and such. You know these turbo jams are really starting to peek my interest -- do you have a site info that I could visit?

Jeanette -- hope you're soon over your cold -- great that you felt good enough to get in some Cardio and Weights -- hope the weekend will help to really get you well. Oh, and speaking of mapquest -- I can't tell you how many times it had me going in circles in places that I didn't know... Now I carry maps as well.

So here's a wish from me that your husband's surgery goes really well with no complications and that he feels better and better. Keep us informed, okay?

Anyway, have a terrific weekend, everybody -- and great workouts -- as well as easy and full recoveries.:7

Good morning Karen, Rhea, Natalie and Jeanie:

Feeling better this morning so I did the warmup and combo #1 from Rhythmic Step and then did All Step (no shoulder work) and abs from CTX. All Step is really fun. Nice to go back and work out to some of my not so used DVD's. I like the music in CTX too.

Rhea, glad you are enjoying your workouts. They sound really good. I might have to check the website too. The new TLT DVD's seem to be having great reviews too. Just shows how adaptable the body is, we think we're pretty good at one set of exercises, then try something pretty different and ouchy mama!

Next week will be pretty disrupted workout wise for sure with DH's shoulder surgery, but I should only miss a couple of days of working out. Maybe I can get in a walk here and there.

Well, lots of housework to do today, will be very busy.

Jeanette:7

HI Jeanette, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie!:)

Was hoping that you might log on today, Jeanette, and tell us how you're doing. So glad that you're doing better. Yea!

I'm really feeling the humidity here in Florida -- have a de humidifier in my room and that's good, but once outside, boy, the humidity is really something. But anyway for me today, did a Sprint 8 -- warm up and cool down and stretch. Tomorrow is a rest day, but I thought I'd take a walk and stretch.

Saw a chiropractor yesterday about my shoulder injury and after the adjustment, it is so much better -- so that's all good.

Hope your weekend is going great Natlie and Rhea. Yes, those workouts are sounding really good -- think I will have look at them.

Anyway, have a terrific weekend, everybody.:7

Hi Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie:

Beautiful day here in northern California, sun is shining, but cold outside. I'm feeling better, but still have the cough. Today I did Pyramid Upper (up premix) and Pyramid Lower lunges, deadlifts and stability ball. I really enjoyed the stability ball work, have only done that one once before. I should incorporate it more as it really hits those areas I need to hit (inner and outer thigh, hamstrings). Good workout!!!

Karen, is it hot in Florida right now? I've never been in a really humid area before. It's so dry up here. Hope your shoulder is feeling better.

Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie hope you are getting your workouts in too and having fun doing them. I'm really thinking of purchasing some more DVD's (not just Cathe) to mix it up. Variety is the spice, you know?

Must sign off and take a shower, do housework.

Jeanette :7

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!;)

It is hot here right now, although it seems to be cold, then hot, then cold, then hot, etc. But always it seems to be humid.

So nice to see you keeping at it Jeanette. I love the Pyramids. Didn't finish my Pyramids this week and that's on my mind so thought I'd get online and work up a rotation for this week, as best I can.

No workout for me today -- it's my day off -- was going to walk and stretch, but just took the day off.

Okay -- so rotation wise, here we go:

Monday: Pyramid Upper Body (up only) and a 20-30 minute run.

Tuesday: IMAX2 -- because I love it

Wednesday: MuscleMax -- shortened version

Thursday: 20 minute run or step cardio plus stretch

Friday: Bootcamp

Saturday: Sprint 8

Sunday: Off

Okay, so that's the plan for this week -- Hope everyone's weekend was great and here's to a terrific week, plus wonderful workouts.:7

Good morning Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie:

It's back to 10 hour days this week, though I'm only working today and tomorrow as I'm taking the rest of the week off for DH's surgery. Today I did the hi/lo from MIC up to high impact and then switched over to my Timesaver DVD and did the hi/lo from that. Less than 45 minutes altogether. I've still got this cough and am babying myself. The cough is better, but only until the Sudafed wears off, then it starts draining again...

Karen, your rotation looks good. You picked all the workouts that I love too! I almost ordered the new TLT DVD's but just didn't quite hit the button. I read thru the forum and reviews of these. Sounds really good.

Not sure what I'll do tomorrow, but probably something with cardio and weights. Maybe I'll bring a yoga DVD to the hotel and do that while DH recovers on Wedn. and Thurs.

Take care everyone.

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, Rhea, and Karen Kay,

Karen- your rotation does look good and I have meant to ask you - What is sprint 8?

Jeanette - hope everything goes well with your DH's surgery. It's nice that you will be able to take the week off to care for him.

Well, the left knee is still sore with the very high impact activities, squats, and lunges so I am modifying all those activities somewhat. I hate modifying!

The schedule today is for Circuit Max + 10/10/10 cardio only but in order to be nice to the knee, I will either do just the Circuit Max or selected chapters + the 10/10/10.

I'm looking at a bad review of The New World. I guess I will rent it, though as it was filmed here and in Williamsburg and does include some great footage of the area.

Have a great day everyone!

Natalie

Hi Jeanette & Natalie & Rhea & Jeanie!:)

Jeanette, your workouts look really good -- I bet thata cough will surrender to your healthy life style soon, as well. You'll let us know about your DH, won't you? I'll be sending up all kinds of good wishes for him.

Natalie -- The New World -- is that a new movie? It sounds good, doesn't it? Truth to tell, I seldom read the reviews since I almost always like movies that reviewers dislike and usually dislike movies reviewers like.x( So I usually read about what it is and decide on the basis of the plot... So maybe it might surprise you. Your workouts sounds really good, too -- Circut Max is one of my favorites -- though I seldom do it for some reason.

Jeanette -- could you give me the web address of those new videos -- can't remember what they're called. In all honesty, the reason I tend to do Cathe and only Cathe, is that many times when I do other workouts, I injure myself -- in the beginning, I just didn't know the proper form of exercise -- and Cathe's constant talk of form really, really helps me. It's very seldom that I ever injure myself doing a Cathe workout -- so I tend to stay close to them.

Today, I didn't get the run in -- just did Pyramid (upper only) -- hey, that's a good workout. Tomorrow is IMAX2 -- one of my all time favorites -- but I may have to do it outside so that the people below me don't complain about me again.

Anyway, have a great day, everyone -- terrific workouts and we've all got our fingers crossed for your DH, Jeanette.:7

Hi All!

Well, today it was IMAX2 -- but it was difficult -- my computer doesn't play these DVD's very well and the sound was off -- echoing -- should have probably just turned off the sound and done it by sight. I know it well enough to do that.

Anyway, tomorrow is supposed to be MuscleMax -- but we'll see -- it's hard being away from home and keeping up the workouts, I've noticed --but I'm determined not to let myself slack off.

Oh, Jeanette, how did it go with your husband? I've been thinking about you today. Like I said, you have my very best wishes.

May just do a Pyramid and then a run tomorrow -- but I do need to do some sort of muscle workout. We'll see what I come up with. In the meantime, happy workouts to everyone. :7

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

Hope everyone is well. Just checking in -- did ME today -- outside and alone -- and from memory, no less -- with the music sometimes ringing through my mind's ears.;-) It was great actually -- a beautiful day here today.

Hope all is well with you all -- Jeanette, have been thinking about you alot. Hope all is well.

Tomorrow -- well, I forget the rotation, but I think it's a run with a stretch. Sounds good to me anyway.

Well, happy workouts everyone! And have a great one.:7

Hi Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie:

Thanks so much, for the good wishes for my DH's surgery. It went well. The Dr. did it all arthoscopically, repairing the tear and taking off the bone spurs. He had a general anesthesia and a shoulder block, which wore off about 12 hours later. He's been on pain pills since about 10:00 last night but is doing fine and doesn't think he needs them for much longer, which is good. We'll have to go back up to Tahoe next Tuesday for the suture removal and then PT instructions.

Need to work out today, but haven't decided what to do yet. I still have some cough left, so won't overexert. Thought I'd get on here and do some reading first and then make up my mind. Thinking of a circuit workout.

Karen, must have been nice to do ME in beautiful weather. Sure would be nice to have some warm weather. Cloudy and cold outside right now. I have a massage tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to it.

Thanks again for the well wishes.

Jeanette :)

Hi Jeanette! Hi Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

I am so happy to hear from you, Jeanette. Although I don't know your husband, I have been waiting to hear how it was going -- thinking it would be fine -- but it's always nice to know. I am so happy to hear that he's doing well. I know you're hanging in there with him, and that's so cool -- you must be a great wife.:)

Am glad that the cough is starting to take a back seat -- it'll go -- just hang in there -- what did you do today for a workout? Today it was a run and sretch for me -- stretched outside, too -- it was cool to cold, but oh, so nice.

Not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow -- I'm thinking Bootcamp or something like maybe KPC -- we'll see -- it's hard to bring the DVD's outside -- 1) because it's hard to see them and 2) because my computer doesn't play these things very well -- they start and stop -- sometimes the words echo and all kinds of things -- I might do it from memory...

At any rate, I am so happy to hear from you. So happy workouts everyone and have a terrific day.:7

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

Well, didn't exercise today -- took the day off:eek: -- so that means my regular day -- Sunday -- I will have to ensure that I exercise that day. Sigh.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend.

For tomorrow I have planned Bootcamp -- or some similar workout like KPC -- a shortened version. Hope all is well with you Natalie -- and hope your knee isn't giving you any problem. And Rhea hope your work is going great and Jeanette, have a simply wonderful weekend.

:7

Hi Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie!

Hopefully I'll be back on some kind of a rotation soon. I've still got a cough and some drainage, though it is better. Tried to work out yesterday, did the 1st combo from RS and that was it. Today, I did an upper body premix from Muscle Max and most of lower body Pyramid. I really like the stability ball work with this one. Gets the inner thigh and hams good!

This afternoon DH and I went out in the desert with the dogs. It was great to get out. We made a small fire (dead sagebrush pieces) and heated some chili up. It was fun. When we got back, I got out my horse and rode him for a while.

Karen, DH is doing well. Only on Tylenol for pain. We go back to Tahoe for the Dr. to take out the sutures and start him on PT on Tuesday. He can do quite a bit with his left hand. I'm sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow, but I'll be off again on Tuesday to drive him up to Tahoe.

Think I'll try a short cardio tomorrow morning, not sure yet just what it will be. I'm feeling better today.

Jeanette

Good morning Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie:

This morning was CTX Power Circuit. I've only done this one in full maybe once before but did it this morning. It was a tough workout for me as my cardio is not quite there yet. It has a lot of variety and packs quite a bit in 1 hour.

I didn't sleep well last night so am a bit droopy. Have a 10 hour work day today, but will get to sleep in a little tomorrow morning as we'll leave around 8 in the morning for Tahoe. Hope the roads are okay. Not sure what the weather will be like today.

Hope everyone has a great Monday morning. Back to the grind for me.

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

I am so happy to hear that your DH is doing well, Jeanette. Sounds like the two of you had fun in the desert -- I love all the camping that you two do -- really sounds like fun -- it's a good indicator that he can move his arm, too, isn't it?

Oh, I so agree with you on Pyramid LB -- I just did that one today -- but I omitted the on the floor work to do abs as I'd done Pyramid UB the day before and omitted the abs... I'm loving the Pyramids very much, though. I'm finding them more and more in my rotations.

CTX Power Circuit sounds good -- don't have the CTX series and sometimes I think I'm missing out because of this.

Anyway, things are going well here -- I'm in a resort (my church's resort) here in Florida -- and so I have a roommate, who is inspired by all the workouts I'm doing -- and so she is starting to workout, too -- kind of nice to know that I have postively influenced someone.:)

It's raining here today, but I'm finding that I like the rain -- kind of nice, actually.

Anyway, thought I'd better think of a rotation. Like I said, yesterday was Pyramid Upper Body, along with a 20 minute run and warm up and stretch. Today was Pyramid Lower Body, omitting the last part, and substituting abs from ME. Was a good workout. Did a Sprint 8 on Saturday.

Oh, by the way Natalie, a sprint 8 is a short walk, run warm up, then sprinting for 30 seconds -- walk back to the starting point, sprint again for 30 seconds, walk back, etc. for 8 times. Then a walk to cool down, stretch and that's it -- takes about 45 minutes, I've found.

Okay, so for Tuesday: 30 - 40 minute run outside

Wednesday: IMAMX2 or a sprint 8

Thursday: MuscleMax or ME -- shortened versions

Friday: Off -- my hubby flies in on Friday to spent the weekend with me -- it's our 10th year first date anniversary :7

Saturday: Sprint 8

Sunday: a circuit workout of some kind -- not sure what just now.

Okay, so that's the plan for this week -- we'll see how well I can keep it.;)

Have a great day, everyone -- work or no work --just have a terrific day somehow and wonderful workouts.:7

Hi Karen, Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie:

DH and I have a dr. appoint. today up at Tahoe so will have to get moving. Yesterday I came home and did the hi/lo (most of it anyways) from MIC (about 1/2 hour) as I wasn't going to do cardio this morning. This morning I did PUB (up premix only), including the stability ball abs. Such a great workout in a short amount of time. I really need to get some 20# dumbbells for the chest and backwork as I've outgrown the 15's.

Karen, hope you have a great anniversary date with your DH. How exciting! Glad your roommate is getting motivated. Our workouts are fun, aren't they? This spring, DH and I will get back to doing our once a week runs. This time, I plan on not pushing too hard as when I did, I'd feel some discomfort in my knees. It was always nice getting out with DH and the dogs though.

Karen, I do really like the CTX series and am always surprised at how intense they are for a shorter workout. I remember getting some good results using these early on.

Well, must get a move on and shower before hitting the road.

Good workouts all!!

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette & Rhea & Natalie & Jeanie!:)

Hope the doctor's appointment went well today -- also hope you had a great day off from work.;-)

Truly think I'm going to have to invest in the CTX series -- they are used in so many rotations -- and it must be a good one to have. My computer seems to be cooperating a little better now for some reason -- knock on wood -- and I've been able to do the workouts all the way through with little skipping. Hope this keeps up.

Isn't the PUB up only a good workout? I'm so glad that you told me about it -- I was thinking, too, that I need to move up to heavier weights with this workout -- my highest is 8 lbs. I think 10 lbs would be a good gradient -- always take it slow since if I do it wrong I seem to injure myself.

Well, today was a great day for running outside -- did a full 30 minute run with an 8 minute warm up and a 10 - 15 minute cool down and stretch -- all total about 50 minutes, which is just about right for me right now.

Just noticed that Cathe has a new February rotation up and running -- so I'll go have a look at that after I post this. Probably tomorrow, I'll start a new rotation guide as well.

Happy workouts, everyone.:7
