KK's January 2010 Thread

Love to see everyone do well with their workouts.

It was a rest day for me. I spent most of it in the hot tub reading the Outlander series. Oh, that is such a good read. I'm on "Drums Of Autumn". Almost done and then onto the next book in the series. Sometimes I just can't stop reading.LOL

Hi all,
Today's workout was STS Core Cardio Circuit. I really enjoyed this one even more this time as I knew I'd survive it. Burned 315 calories, which for me is a lot.

Attended a baby shower for my niece today. Had a nice time there, got to visit with quite a few ladies there. Later on, took enchiladas to my sister and her DH. They just bought a house and tonite was there first night in it.

Karen, so glad you had a nice time with your DD. I had a great day with mine a week ago.

Janie, I like to read too, but most things I do, I do so obsessively. I'd probably never want to put a book down. I've heard good things about the Outlander books. Not sure what they are about though.

Must go,

Good Sunday!

Taking the weekend off from working out. Went five days in a row and a little hard on the legs with the running and the plyo work right in a row. This week I will have at least a day between one of the runs and the plyo legs.

KK - Yes, Anna Benson passed away in October? November? of 2009. I might be a bit off on the time. She was fairly young, I think only 56. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer and it took her pretty fast. Very sad. I know I'll think of her every time I do a Firm or a FitPrime workout. She and her sister were pioneers of the use of weights and cardio at the same time. I still have my VHS ones, but no VCR to do the originals. I think you can get them in DVD now. I'll have to look.

Well, off to do some sewing. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Good Evening!

Rhea, Thank you so much for telling me about Anna. Although I never met her, I've done her workouts so much that I felt as if I knew her. Plus, I was a part of FitPrime for so long. Stomach cancer. Sigh. My sister was diagnosed with liver cancer, and she too went fast. I, too, will always think about Anna whenever I do those workouts and I've been dragging out my old VCR's of the FIRM to do -- particularly #4 -- cause it's only 42 minutes and it's a full body workout.

That is a young age to go. I probably shouldn't say this because I don't ever, ever tell my age, but I'm within her same generation.

I will miss her, and her creativity.

Janie, your workouts look so good. I like that series, too, although most of my reading is still within the romance field -- or research.

Jeanette, so glad you had a good day with your DD. I don't get to see mine enough, so it's always a treat. You know, like you, I tend to stay up reading -- I get so into it -- but over the years, I've learned to put it down...sometimes... Well, usually...;)

Today was MMB Boxing -- I never thought I would like a workout that said "boxing," but I really do like that workout. Goes to show you...

Have a super day tomorrow everyone. Great to come here and read your posts. It's like getting together with friends.:D

Did BBL Sculpt and SC Cardio Core Circuit. Whew.

KK,

When I opened up my email this morning there was a message from Cathe.com. I pressed on it and there you were a picture of you and your husband and it read something like this: Looking 10-20 years younger doing Cathe's Workouts" That is a beautiful picture of you and your honey.

Many people will be seeing that and I must say, I'm very proud.

Janie
