Kickbox followed by weights the next day?

Can someone give me some advice on this:

I really like the kickbox workouts, but don't know how to fit them into my weekly workouts. I always get sore in both my upper and lower body from punching and kicking. I want to lift weights the next day (or the preceding day), but don't know if this is counterproductive.

So, can I do kickbox and weightlifting on consecutive days? Also, can I do weights the day after Kickmax and its leg conditioning drills?

I don't know if anyone else has this same problem, but figured I'd ask anyways!:)

I pretty rarely feel it in my legs the next day, so I'll either do leg day or skip shoulders if I'm doing upper body.

I would do weights the day before or after kickboxing, unless I used weights in the kickboxing (ie: weighted gloves) and felt that some body parts needed more rest (ie: shoulders: in that case, I wouldn't do an upper-body weight workout, but would do a lower body weight workout).

You'll have to do what's best for you, and while you might be able to do Kb and weights back-to-back, I wouldn't recommend (for now) doing a full-body weight workout, then kickboxing, then a full body weight workout (three days in a row of 'soreness-inducing" workouts). Something more like lower body + kickboxing + upper body, or upper body + kickboxing + lower body; or kickboxing + full-body weights + other cardio.

Thanks for your responses. Maybe I will have to work up to doing weightlifting and kickbox on consecutive days. I'm afraid to ruin my weightlifting work by doing too much.

We'll see...
