I'm comtemplating buying a couple of these. I don't have any of Cathe's CTX tapes. I do all my weight training on my own. Is the kickbox cardio part intense enough? Since I'm so used to training on my own, are they good for the "advanced weight trainer?" Have you had good results with them?? I'm thinking of getting a couple and adding them into my mix somehow. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch :* - Susan

The CTX series is excellent all the way around....cardio, weights & all. The weight sections are meant to be endurance type workouts (high reps, low weight), but they are very intense. Kickbox is the least intense of the cardios, but you can get the most out of it by really concentrating on being very intense with all your kicks and punches.

You can't go wrong with this series. It's really a time saver, too, a very efficient bunch of tapes - one of her masterpieces, IMO.

Thanks for replying! I was thinking of getting her Leaner Legs or 10-10-10 too. From what I hear that Leaner Legs is a killer!
Take care, Susan

I recieved CTX just a little over a week ago and it is hands down my favorite workout series. Last summer my niece tried to get me to join her kickbox class, but, like you, I thought, hey, I'm strength training, how much of a workout could that be? Boy was I wrong! If you put your energy into and not just 'walk' thru it, it is a wonderful workout! I dripping with sweat by the end of it!

I enjoyed it so much I ordered Cardio Kicks and am going to try it for the first time today.
