Kick Punch & Crunch - please advise me

To all KPC lovers out there, can you please tell me if this workout is suitable for someone in need of more low impact, high intensity workouts.

I can see from the format that there is some high impact in it, but are there low impact premixes or any way of modifying the workout to make it low impact but high intensity?

I think if you do the jump kicks on the floor, you will have a lower intensity workout. I have the workout on vhs, so I do not know about the premixes. Hope that helps some! :)

You can always take the jumps out of it and make it low intensity and it would be fine for your knees, but there are lots of "high knees" "windmills" "jumpkicks" in this one, which you could modify the windmills and jumpkicks and just do the butt kicks for the high knees................

This is the best kickbox dvd i have ever done and you will not regret buying it!

Like Renee and Reba said you can modify any of the high impact moves.

KPC is one of Cathe's best cardio orkouts and a must have. It is a ton of fun and a real calorie burner as well.

I've modified this to all low impact at times without problem(there are definitely not as many high impact moves as in KM, and the ones that are in aren't as high impact as KM). For the runs and butt-kicks (which are still high impact), you can substitute power knee smashes. The "windmill" moves (which probably aren't called that, but that's all I can think of for the moment) can be done without addiing the little jump in, or substituted with some skater moves done going low and wide. There are also some jump kicks that can easily be modified to grounded kicks (adding intensity by going deeper into the squat that precedes the side kick, for example).

You can modify the high impact moves.I think the punching and kicking premix (41 minutes) is the best option.

I have had KPC/Legs & Glutes for a month or so. Great DVD and very useful with all the premixes. I like this one better and better every time I do it. You won't be sorry!

Hi,

I'm in my 8th month of pregnancy and am still doing KPC. It is quite modifiable. The suggestions other have given you are excellent.
