Last night I did the Man Maker, Swings, Slingshot and Core rounds from Keith Weber. My abs are hollering at me this morning!

I'm working out at home tonight, but haven't come up with a plan yet.

In an effort to be able to do big girl oull ups someday, I sold all my Cathe Hardcore's and bought a pull up tower for my office. It's been a conversation starter to say the least. :D

Melissa - Between your post yesterday, and our 20 degree morning today, I can't stop thinking about soup! :p

Hey gals! :)

This morning my legs are screaming at me, so I did a workout from a couple of weeks ago that still uses LB, but not too much. ;) I tweaked it a bit, though.


6 rounds:

10 swings 35#
10 left snatches 20#
10 right snatches 20#
10 alternating cleans 25#
20 figure 8 to hold 25#
10 pushups


It took me 18:17. After that, I put my kb's away and did as many pullups as I could - almost 4! - and as many chinups as I could - about 2 inches from 5 reps! Marcy, I am going to do what you do and try to get some in every day. :)

Gayle, I haven't done a single one of the Hardcores in probably 2 years! I think the last one I did was Imax 3, and the one I used the most was HSC, but I did that when I was starting back up after having DS. I haven't ever done the Gym Styles, even though I have had them for years and they look good. I just don't know that I could ever do a Cathe DVD (or any DVD) again - sorry Cathe! - after doing the kinds of workouts we do. Selling them probably would be a good idea, honestly, it's just so hard to imagine parting with anything Cathe because she is... well, she is Cathe! KWIM?

After saying all that, I am now trying to remember why on Earth I wanted to try P90X? :p:eek:

Good Morning!

I did Mark Blanchard's Culmination from his Sedona series. Really good practice today. I did three headstands: 1 for 7 seconds, 1 for 15 seconds and the third for 20 seconds with legs in a split. Did dolphin pose (forearm stand) for about a second and did handstands against the wall and was able to push away from the wall for a few seconds. Also, shoulderstand, backbend. Balances were tough since DH and Max decided to join me for a little bit and it's very hard to do yoga and concentrate with a peppy Pomaranian jumping up and trying to lick me and DH egging him on!

Gayle - Good luck with the pullup tower! You can start out by doing negatives, then chinups and then pullups. I haven't done my Hardcores in ages but don't have the heart to get rid of them. Chest & Tris has that total dread factor for me but I know I'll still pull out Legs & Back, Bis & Shs. The Hardcore series is probably my favorite and most used series with the exception of High Step Challenge. I still do IMAX 3 frequently (my favorite IMAX) and Kick Max on occasion. Stretch Max still gets used frequently as well.

Melissa - Great workout! Good luck with the pullup! Consistency is key!

Hi Everyone!

I'm working out tonight. I'm still not feeling 100% but if I don't do something I'm going to feel worse. So the sisters are coming over and we're doing this workout. The sun is finally out again! Yay!! :D:D:D:D

Melissa ~ Have fun at the park! I know what you mean about dvds. I like doing my own stuff. I haven't really parted with anything because I do like having them around when the weather is bad or I just feel like having someone tell me what to do.

I do love the Gym Style Series especially BSB and Legs. Chest and Tris go on forever but I usually do portions of that workout after BSB. I still love traditional weight work. I'm not sure why but I enjoy it.

Gayle - Have fun with the pull up tower. I love having my pull up bar in the backyard even though my neighbors think I'm strange.

Marcy - Good job with all the headstands and handstands. LOL...about Max and your DH joining the workout!

Gayle::: Thanks for starting us off this morning! Great workout yesterday! How did you sell your dvds? I am looking to get rid of some of mine (most of mine), but don't know how to go about it!! Enjoy your pullup tower!!! maybe you can have an office challenge!!LOL
