Kettlebell Informercial

Hi,
I saw an infomercial for kettlebell workouts the other morning. I didn't watch it long enough to find out the name, but they seemed really intersting. Does anyone know the name of the workouts that are featured on a current infomercial? I know that there was an asian woman who was leading them, but not sure of her name. If anyone has them, what do you think of them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi there.

I have seen the infomercial though I have not purchased the set.

I have a few kettlebells that I purchased from Target as well as a few work outs.

I would strongly suggest considering passing on the infomercial set.

Kettlebells are fantastic but the infomercial is going to give you some 4-5 pound bell. That's nothing!

Go out and get yourself a heavier bell (I have 15's and a 20 and that is not unusual-some go heavier-for a woman who can lift with Cathe). You can pick up one of the Iron Core Way work outs at Target to get yourself started since they are not expensive ($15.00) and see how you like it. There are some great KB instructors out there with many awesome work out dvds to choose from!

I have The Kettlebell Goddess work out by Andrea DuCane and Kettlebell your way to a Perfect Body by Beth Chamberlain and Anthony Diluglio.

You can find Anthony at www.artofstrength.com. He is a top kb instructor and is loved by many on these forums. He offers 3 awesome dvds on his site from what I hear. AOS Providence is a remake of Kettlebell your way... mentioned above so you don't need both but he also has AOS Newport and Firepower. All are supposed to be excellent work outs. I have Newport and Firepower on my wish list. I have also heard great things about Steve Cotter's work outs.

Good luck! :)

Wow-Thanks for the information. I will have to wait on the heavier workouts right now b/c I am coming up on my 3rd trimester, but these would be awesome when I am trying to lose all that baby weight. Thanks again!

Actually, it's the other way around: Providence came first, then Beth Chamberlain (sp?) wanted Anthony to redo it with her, and that's "The Kettlebell Way to Your Perfect Body."

Jen-- the infomercial you saw is for "Kettlenetics." It's not true kettlebell work, but an adaptation (some might say a dumbing down) of some of the actual kettlebell moves, done very quickly and fluidly. Some people like it (usually those who aren't interested in regular kettlebell work), some don't (many who do regular kettlebell work, though some like both).

I knew that. I just said it backwards. I do those things sometimes. :p :7
