Good Morning

Today was a hard to get up day. I ended up doing my workout without eating something first. I don't think it made a difference, I'm just never sure what is the "best" thing - I don't want my body to burn muscle if I don't eat?

Today's workout, courtesy of crossfit 603 (I am finding I like theirs the best)- posted from my blog::::

**ha ha :) having fun naming my blogs!!:p

todays workout: from crossfit 603

Buy-in

 • Jump rope 5:00
 • Include 50 double-unders

Scale the number of DUs to match your skill set. (If 50 is going to take you an hour, then go for 10, or 20. Point is to practice the movement.)
603 WOD
This is a “prison style” workout. Start at one end of the room, perform the movement, then walk to the other side of the room and continue. The bigger the room, the tougher the workout.

 • 15 one-hand KB swings, left (24K/16K)
 • Farmer’s walk (to the other side of the room), left
 • 14 one-hand KB swings, right
 • Farmer’s walk, right
 • Continue swings and farmer’s walks, alternating hands, down to 1 rep
 • The workout ENDS with one last farmer’s walk

Special bonus: If you have to put the kettlebell down at any point… do 10 push-ups. Scaling options - do 2-hand swings instead, and/or drop the Rx’d weight, and/or start at 10 reps instead of 15.
Record total time and number of push-ups performed.

Jane::: I hope you did well with your run. You really do have an adventurous weekend planned, I am sure you will do both races no problem:D It's nice you are doing them with your sister. I hope you are not a geek for printing out your workouts and putting them in a binder!! I do the same thing!!:p I search the websites, cut and paste the workouts I want to do into my microsoft office word folder and then when I want to do the workout, I print it out and put it in my binder!! I think that makes us groovy!!;) LOL!!

Gayle::: Did you have a nice rest day? Are you doing anymore work in your yard?

Marcy::: I hope you haven't overslept again today!! What did you do for a workout today? is this your last week of etk? Yes, I am really enjoying the crossfit workouts!! but starting next week I am going to do aos dvds and add 2 days of crossfit workouts- I'm thinking aos dvds/wrokouts 2 or 3 days, crossfit 2 days and some type of cardio one day (kickbox, 4DS bc, treadmill, ropes....)that's my plan, I may change it though! Its hard being "loosey goosey" after having such specific plans for 3 months!

waves to Andilynn and Rhonda!!

Have a great Thursday everyone!! 1 more day till Friday!!:):):)

Whew! I'm almost done with all the dvd's in the first mesocycle of STS! I did better today on my pullups (at least on the first round) but the later ones not so much! I think I'll be feeling it tonite at work! I also got my GoWearfit in the mail yesterday and it's charging as I speak! One problem though , it ask you to enter your hours of sleep when you start your activity manager and since mine change almost daily (swing shift) I'm not sure what to do? Any ideas? I may have to email the gofit people and see what they recommend! :)

Waves to all!

Hi Everyone,

I doing a very light ab and upper body workout today. I have a run tomorrow evening. My legs are still sore from the workout I did on Tuesday.

Deanie ~ Here is a clip on the double unders. Basically the rope passes twice for every jump. I just do the regular jump rope. I used a weighted jump rope and I can't jump that fast. The main CF site usually has demos for most of the exercises. I'm glad that we are groovy, organized workout chicks and not geeks!!

Andilynn ~ Congrats getting better at your pull ups. I can only do jumping ones. Someday I'll get to STS. I just don't have the time right now but I do want to do it.

Waves hello to Marcy, Gayle and Rhonda.

Workout binders are hawt!! :p Unfortunately, my workouts are strewn about on a table in my gym...I need to get a binder. :)

Deanie - Double unders are fun once you get used to them, but you do need a fast rope. From an aerobic standpoint, they hit me harder than tuck jumps. There are a bunch of videos on the CF web site (Jane's link) of Buddy Lee lectures on how to do them. I never would have thought to use figure-8's for tabata...very interesting...

I like the CF 603 site, too. I think they're a pretty new affiliate.

Jane - I hope your legs feel better for the weekend!

Andilynn - Good job on STS and those pullups!

I got a shipping notice that my raspberry and strawberry plants will be shipping next week, so I'll need to get the beds together this weekend.

Waves hello to Marcy and Rhonda!
