Kelly Coffey-Meyer - anybody preorder new ones?

I really like the idea of combining step & kickboxing. I like the 1st Step Boxing workout, but I've heard that SB 2 will have a slower pace w/longer cardio. I thought the pace was fine (took a while to get used to those annoying taps after every step though)so not sure if I want a slower pace...

I agree totally about those annoying taps. I also liked the pace of the first stepboxing. I thought I might be bored at a slower pace. That's why I wasn't crazy about ordering the new ones. I'm also trying to be a little more picky about what I order these days.

Yeah, i know what you mean...sick of having so many unused DVDs. That's why I rarely stray from Cathe.

I did preorder Tracey Staehle's new weight workout though, i'm always looking for new ones. Hardly any instructors use heavier weights like Cathe. Kelly's are not that effective, IMO.

I trust that Kelly's new offerings will be very good, so I will be preordering (as it gets closer to end of presale). She has been consistent in producing some great workouts and I believe that she puts a lot of thought into what she does. I think that she was planning to have a slower pace in the new step kickboxing workout because she said that the pace could not be sustained for a full 60 minute workout.
 
I am going to be ordering also, the price and the content are reeling me in. I think she will be the worth it. You can't resist that cost, imo.
 
I ordered. I enjoy her videos for a change of pace. I found her weight workouts to not be very effective if I used her weights. When I went up in weight (sometimes having to slow the speed), it was much better. I probably do each workout (of the current 4) about once a month. They are especially nice if I'm short on time. I also really like her no-nonsense style.
 
I haven't pre-ordered, but I am very tempted. I think I just might wait for reviews. I love Kelley, and I can do her faster workouts for cardio, but I do find she goes way too fast with the weights. I have to slow down on those sections a lot. I think a lot of her moves could really hurt someone at the rate at which she does them.
 
Speaking of which...on her website she announced that the new workouts could be shipping around October 20th. The editing went very well. Now that was fast!!! Kelly just filmed these Sept 13th!!! I preordered because I just got 3 of her earlier workouts and liked them. :)
 
I ordered them. I like the idea of longer cardio in the kickboxing, and the circuit workout sounds good as well.

I really like Kelly as an instructor.

I pre-ordered the new workouts. I thought they were at a good price and I do like her workouts. I have three of them and I love the kickbox. I'll sometimes do it twice (cardio portion) for a longer cardio session. I like her weight work too it seems more sculpting to me and I usually go up a little more on the weight.

I'll probably just preorder the step boxing one. I like her personality, but her "weight" work is a little too fast & monotonous for me.

I didn't order this time b/c I read that she slowed down the tempo instead of doing a fast paced step boxing and a slower paced step boxing as originally planned. I'm afraid it's going to be like someone else I used to love who ended up trying to please too many people within one workout which ended up not pleasing me...LOL! I know a lot of people are thrilled with her upcoming workouts and I will keep an eye out for reviews of the stepboxing workout.

I agree that I don't enjoy some of her weighted workouts (like the section in Kickboxing -- too short to be effective) but her other weight DVDs are good, but since they are more Functional Fitness types of weight training, many Cathe fans might not like them. I, however, realize the importance of Functional Fitness training in my routine to avoid injuries or overuse of the traditional weight lifting exercises. I just finished a functional fitness week and although I didn't particularly enjoy it as much as the traditional stuff......I know I need it.

I appreciate Kelly as a good advanced instructor and liked her immediately. I have preordered.

re: Kelley's weight workouts:
I think she often uses weights as cardio intensifiers (as she said she did in her last KB workout), kind of like the Firm and its "4-limbed aerobics." I wouldn't consider most of her workouts using weights as "weight workouts" per se.
