Keiser M3 spin bike

Well, I finally got to the studio in my area that uses Keiser spin bikes, and all I have to say is WOW! The pedal stroke is SO smooth and I makes no noise. I'm used to being in a studio where there's a steady, relatively quiet hum from the bikes. With these...nothing!

The weird thing is that I'm glad I had my heart rate monitor on, because the bike was so smooth, I easily could have burned myself out by going too strong at the beginning of the class, because I perceived I was working much less that I was. That's one of the best parts of spin to me anyway, that I can get such a good cardio without feeling it so hard. I certainly love my CCC and HiiT, but I feel those workouts so much more than a spin workout with the equivalent heart rate. Of course, that jumping is good for my bones and I enjoy them so they're a permanent part of my workout repertoire. Okay, now I'm way off topic! Anyway, my point is that this bike is so smooth, you won't even realize how hard you're working (compared to, for example, a spinner NTX, which I also like).

Anyway, I know lots of us are considering buying spin bikes. This one is certainly one of the most expensive out there, but if you're looking in that league, I highly suggest you give this one a spin. Yep, pun intended. :)

Now I just have to find a Lemond Revmaster Pro to try out!

Of course, I think I'm going to end up buying a used bike from my gym, but hey, a girl can dream!
