****keep-it-clean-weekend****

Dinner was good... But I'm still hungry :-/. I'm ignoring it, I know I ate enough food, my brain is playing tricks on me.

Pizza sounds yummy!! Kate, did you survive your 90%? Robin, ^5 on the ellip!

hi everyone. bedtime very soon here. no nap today, and that made finn a bear for a bit. evening ended up well, though, so no coplaints:D fatigue had me eating more than i wanted, but it was clean, so i will take it. i wanted cookies so bad but made those energy sustaining break bars instead (and ate some dough, but not too much:eek:)

kate, glad the party went well. sorry about the inconsiderate mom.

angie, hope the jet lag is better tomorrow.

robin, good wo!

kl, how did your day end up?

colleen, how was your date night the other night? hope the movie was good.

katie, sometimes everything can feel off for a few days. do you feel like sharing? i am always available to listen:) i know i go a bit batty when my hormones are off. that and fatigue get me. oh, and family stress:mad: have good night.

see you all in the am

I LOVED THAT WO!!! wanna do it again next week! 90 percent was oddly doable...i think bec of knowing there were only 6 reps.

katie, are you thirsty?

morris, good job on clean eats! doing my wo cured me of any snackng lingering in my mind.

Morning girls! We made it through the night! I had a hard time getting to sleep and woke up early but hopefully that will make going to bed tonight a little easier!

I worked out this AM but it was a total flop. I had no energy and just tried to push myself through it but twisted my knee about 20 minutes in so to avoid further injury I just stopped. I think it will be fine but I was just annoyed. I was doing turbo jam b/c I just wasn't up for Cathe intensity. At least I got my body moving a bit. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I think I just didn't get enough sleep to try to do something like that. Morris, I don't understand how you run 13 miles on just a little sleep! I'd probably collapse! :) I have all sorts of cardio endurance on good rest but without it, I'm useless.

Kate, glad you enjoyed your WO! Way to rock it!!

Katie, good girl on keeping your dinner clean. If I'm hungry at night, I always find a small bowl of kashi does the trick!

Morris, sorry about your no nap day! Those are killers aren't they? Ellie is still growing out of her nap - she still needs it but if she takes one, she's up until 10!! :(

Robin, hi! Hope you're having a good weekend!

Good morning Klaudia, Lisa, and Colleen!

Does anyone know where Anne is?

Time for some breakfast! BBL.

urggg, rough morning. my power went out at 2am, which always wakes me up. i start to get very anxious -our basement may flood, have to run the generator with dh at work, etc.... then aidan was up at 3. power came back on at 5, but i had not slept, so i did finally fall back asleep until now (6:15). so today will not be a big wo day. may do some easy weights or walk or elliptical later, but otherwise rest. it has been a while!

angie, you will be back on schedule now for sure. re running distances early with little sleep, i can usually do anything in the am regardless of sleep, except this am;) i am just a morning person. eventually it catches me.

kate great wo last night.

today will be clean for sure. i am still too tired to do much.

Morning ladies! Angie, sorry for the bum workout, take care of that knee! Morris, BOO on the sleepless night. Can you try to catch a power nap later on?

I am getting ready to hop on the TM for a run, then shopping with DH -- we are buying (hopefully) new deck/patio furniture today. I hate the set he/we have now, and it belonged to his ex-wife which I really don't care about but the crap just plain sucks. So we are getting new, cuz I said so!

I am feeling MUCH better and looking much slimmer after my clean day yesterday. 100% squeaky again today and I will be on my way to recovery!

Hey gals,

Just got back from our Sunday lunch. We're going to try a new restaurant each Sunday just to try to get around and check things out. We went to an italian place. I shared some 4 cheese pasta with Ellie (had probably less than a cup) and then a piece of Ryan's chorizo an peppers pizza. I avoided the bread all together and feel pretty proud of my overall performance. :)

Morris, sorry you had a long night. I hate when I can't get to sleep. I sit there contemplating whether I should just get up and stop trying or what! It's so frustrating. Hope you can get a quick nap today.

Katie, have fun patio furniture shopping. We were talking about getting some too. Probably something pretty cheap though - it just needs to be 2.5 year furniture! Glad you're feeling leaner today. Do you have a WO planned? My knee feels fine. But I'm glad I stopped when I did. My stomach isn't totally back to normal!

Morning Kate! I love picturing you typing with one hand while nursing J. It just cracks me up! :) Hope you're having a good start to your day.

BBL.

Mmmm, your lunch sounds yummy Angie! Our patio furniture will be cheap also -- we have a small townhouse (well, large by townhouse standards but feels very small some days) and we don't plan on being here forever so we need something small and something that will last a couple of years. We entertain a lot in the summer so it's a must-have.

My run was excellent. Off to shop!!

Happy Sunday!

Sorry I didn't get back here again yesterday-it got kinda rushed around here. I did get my workout in-30 minute incline/speed walk and my own abs. The party was fun-had some turkey sub, a little broccoli salad and taco salad, and a few chips. Oh, and a bit too much cake and ice cream:eek: Ah, well. Today is STS 30(?) S/B/T. And then we're going to visit my grandma and watch the hockey game-I turned my grandparents into die hards as a teen:)

Angie, hope the knee feels better. I love your Sunday eating out idea-sounds fun!

Morris, sorry about your sleepless night. I'm pretty lucky on that front. I have a hard time every once in a while. What time to you go to bed? We don't have a generator, but we do have a back up sump pump. Hope you can get some rest today.

Katie, have a good run and hope you find a great set of patio furniture-I'd like a new set too-we've had ours for almost 12 years!

Morning Kate, Robin, Colleen, Lisa, and Anne!

Should we call Anne? It's not like her to not check in for so long.

Just finished dinner. Had tacos (one) and strawberries - odd combo I know. I may have some kashi before bed. I'm so tired. Hopefully that means I'll fall asleep easily!

Klaudia, you're rocking your WOs lately! Keep it up! I like the idea of eating out on Sundays but it's hard to make "good" choices here - there are NO health conscience items so I'll just have to keep my portions in check! Today wasn't so hard. Just knowing I'm not going to clear my plate makes it easy!

Katie, I love how much you've learned to love running! It makes me miss it. Have you noticed much difference in your body shape/weight since starting STS and running? Any luck on patio furn?

Going to read and relax before bed. Prob will see you in the AM.

hello again - my day is shaping up so nicely! very clean and tidy eats, no cravings, and, did some hiit on elliptical during adian's nap. will do me upper later when dh finally gets home. we went to a friends house to play and both boys are in such good moods.

angie, fun day for you with the family!

katie, enjoy the shopping. glad your day is nice. where is colin?

klaud, glad you had fun last night and got your wo in. today's sounds good too.

i am also wondering about anne. i know she mentioned being away for a bit, but not this long i did not think....

good afternoon!

angie, nice plan on the sunday outings! goo job on portion control!
katie, yay for slim! hope you find some good furniture!

morris, nice day! i love adult interaction!:p

klaudia, great wo's & fun times for you!

robin, ok your way??

lisa, how was the recital?

-
clean eats here but isabels bday m&ms are wanting to be eaten. im not going to eat them tho. i want to bake something for isabels picnic/graduation tonight but i dont think i have the willpower to avoid nibbling...so i'll take beans! packing a turkey sandwich to avoid the hot dogs!

wo will be a run w/ laura tonight after j goes to bed

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe it is afternoon already. The movie last night was great - it held my attention the whole time. Dinner was so-so. Our friends picked an Indian restaurant and the service sucked and the food was just okay. I had an indian chicken dish with some rice. I didn't get all my clean max done yesterday so that means I have to do it today. I also have some work to do and after much reflection I have decided to start looking for another job. So I need to work on my resume.

Katie, glad you are back on the wagon. Have fun shopping!
Morris, I am glad to hear your day is shaping up nicely despite the lack of sleep.
Angie, I injured my knee running (bursitis) and so now I have PT.
Klaudia, glad you had a fun night last night. Have fun watching the game tonight.
Robin, have you figured out your workouts for the week? I need to do that today.
Kate, LOL beans! Sending you some willpower because it seems like there are too many goodies to resist.

Everyone just posted in the past 10 minutes!

Morris, glad you're having a good clean day! Feels good, doesn't it? Do you work your UB everyday? I miss US playdaytes.

Colleen, a knee injury is what really keeps me away from high mile running... I know I have a weak knee so it's just prob not the best choice for me. Sorry your dinner turned out bad. With your choices you listed, I figured you couldn't lose! Good luck on your job search!!

Kate, have fun on your run. LOL on beans. Turkey sand sounds like a good plan - tastes so much better than hot dogs too!

Going to kind of watch BL finale - I'm disappointed in the winner! I really wanted Tara, Mike was my next choice... def not Helen! :(

So I'm considering doing FF's Basic/Intermediate/Advanced rotation... it's 12 weeks. Just would like to commit to something long term. Thoughts? I'd prob skip or greatly modify the first two weeks - I don't have those early/easy WOs.

Later gators...

collen, glad you liked the imax! sorry dinner was lousy....i hate that.
hope the job hunt is fruitful! the place youre at now def seems tough to deal with!

angie that rotation looks great! im trying to think of how i want to structure my wo's after sts...only 2 more weeks. then my 5k is 6/20. might do meso 2 til our vaca in july.

morris, i just posted this in od....can you help?:D
ANY form pointers are welcome! even ones that you think are incredibly basic!

i can imax w/ the best of them but HATE running. my 19yo non-cathlete sister and i are doing a 5k next month. i want to kick her butt!:p i'm 29 and in pretty good shape.

i have 2 more weeks of sts then 3 weeks til our 5k. what kind of lower body weights should i do in those 3 weeks?

we did a practice session friday night. she started out faster than me but i eventually caught up w/ her then passed her. we were doing a recovery lap around the track and i recovered much quicker and was ready to run again much sooner than she was.

my quads and groin were sore the next day. not cathe-esqe doms but i could tell i'd used muscles in a new way

i bought a pair of running shoes....nike reax

i have an ellip and like doing cc on it...but outdoor running seems so different for some reason.

anybody have any tips? i know not to swing my arms across my body. any certain way i should make sure my foot lands?

sorry to be so random and lengthy!

thanks for any help!

hi everyone. well, no naps here, but i did me upper and some abs and played with finn. plan to walk later with the boys.

angie, rotation looks great. would you be disappointed with yourself if you did not finish it? i do ub 2-3 times a week depending how i am lifting. i too was bummed helen won, though i have not seen the finale yet.

kate, good thing that recipe looks wayyyy too complicated for me! as far as the running, it is hard to say. running is just different, and you ither like it or you don't. it may take you 2 weeks to find it comfy and not awkward, or, you might never like it. i am a big proponent in only doing what is fun for fitness. you are so darn fit, if you don't like something, why bother? but i think katie mentioned a while ago that it just took her a little bit until it was comfortable and "normal." your cv fitness is fine for a 5k. it is just the runnign part itself. i am probably not helping much.

colleen, i so rarely eat out it really ticks me off when service is bad. glad the movie was good.
