Hi Candi! Yes all bloatedness, hot flashes & night sweats have disappeared FOREVER!! I'm 51. The only thing now I'm worried about is osteopenia. Because I'm Caucasian & small framed the post-menopause has placed me right into the middle stages of osteoporosis. I decided back in June of 2004 to take a bone density test (just for the heck of it) & this was the result! Now I'm on Actonel for one year so in June 2005 will take another bone density test & see if I've reversed it. Wish me luck! But getting back to menopause it took my body 4-4 1/2 years of peri before I finally reached post-menopause. This is what I've experienced but its different w/every woman. I hope you'll experience the same. Its not easy! Take care, Kathy
I'm still in peri. I haven't experienced a period in 8 months but FSH test says I'm not in full menopause yet. I'm still on the Mircette. Did you go to the Natrol before you reached menopause or after?
Edited to add that when I had my baseline bone density scan done last year, my hips were already showing signs of osteopenia. She said my back was extremely strong but my hips needed work. I'm scheduled to have another one in June so we'll see. I've been taking the recommended calcium faithfully
You would think with all the Cathe work and clean eating there's no way the osteoporosis bug could get in there, don't you think?
Hello again Candi! I went off of Mircette b/c I had developed an overabundance of estrogen which left my breasts very sore & full. They were huge & I couldn't take my bra off ever. My doctor just wanted me off of Mircette for 6 months but I made my own decision to go off of it altogether. Eventually my breasts went back to normal & then I went on AM/PM Balance to control the flashes & sweats. I was still in peri at this point. I'm not sure if you can take the AM/PM Balance while taking Mircette. This is something you'll have to bring up w/your doctor. Also, in order to be in post-menopause you have to go 1 full year w/out getting your period. Your almost there but not quite. Kathy
