Hi Kathryn,
I don't see a new P90X thread started here, so I'm posting my own thread (hope that's ok).
Here is the question I asked you in the Video forum:

Interesting thread!
I was reading on another board, that the P90X series has "electric guitar ROCK music". Is this true? I was thinking about trying out the upper body workouts of this series, just to see if I can add on to some of the Cathe S&H upperbody splits, but IF P90X has "rock music", that's a no go for me. I've gotta have the high energy/techno that most Cathe dvds have, or I'll totally NOT be able to get into the workout. I've never been into Rock music at all--ever, let alone any hard electric guitar type rock. Sad, that the music is so important to me, but it is. The music has got to make me want to dance/move. And Rock won't get me there at all.
Also, I read that this series has a ton of pushups. Is this so? That would be another reason for me to not go with the series. I have implants, and while I'm willing to do a few modified pushups (or even maybe try a full one), I don't want a ton of them, that I'll just end up skipping over.
I'm guessing that P90X just won't be for me. Am I right?

I wanted to add that in addition to music, "voices" also are important to me. There are some instructors I just cannot stand to workout to. I don't like overly chatty or "annoying" type voices. lol I just can't focus on the workout. I think that's another reason I'm so drawn to Cathe. She has high energy music with a beat that keeps me pumping, and her voice is "cute and sweet", not dry or lacking in personality. Yet, she's not over the top with pep or chattiness. How does the P90X series trainer compare? I think I also read that some found him a bit annoying. How do you feel about his style of training, compared to Cathe?
I wish I weren't so affected by sound, but I really am. I have friends who couldn't care less what's being said. They can focus regardless of the instructor or anyone else's antics. I can't at all. Some also turn the volume off. I too can't do that. lol
Should I pass on this series? and if so, can you give me another rec for a diff instructor for mass building arm/shoulder workouts, to add to Cathe's?
thanks!
