you mentioned in a previous post that you have recently purchased these. I don't have this exact brand, but the same system basically. I have a question for you. How does the ankle strap with velcro closure work for you? Does it remain shut fast about your ankle no matter what leg exercise you do, or is it constantly popping open under the stress of the weighted movement?

The ankle strap on my system is pretty useless and I am looking to replace it. Any comments on the Bodylastics ankle strap? Do I risk my money?

I haven't actually used the ankle strap that much, but there's a pretty long strip of velcro on it, and from the look of it, it seems pretty sturdy.

I did use it for kickbacks while on all fours, with the strap around my foot, and it didn't loosen at all.

Thanks Kathryn, I think I'll give them a try. I may have to make a few trips back to the UK this coming year, to help out with sick parents, and I also like to work out at the local park while the weather is still nice in the Fall during my daughter's soccer practices, so I need a portable system with which I can do everything, not just upper body! I have already scoped out the playground apparatus at the park where some of the practices are held: plenty of places to hook these resistance bands around and work every body part. Might get some strange looks though! One of the benefits of being in your 40's: you don't care so much what you look like in public anymore!

Same thing for the 50's: I often tag a block of retrowalking on to my walks, and I'm sure it looks pretty strange!
