Hi Marie! I saw the Katamibar infomercial last Saturday and caved and ordered it on Wednesday. I thought it looked quite interesting. I'm always on the lookout for something that looks like fun to work the dreaded core. I'll post back when I receive it and try it out!

I received my Katamibar Kit this AM and have previewed all of them. Just from the preview, I can only see myself doing the Kardio Katami which is his advanced workout. Not pure cardio. I don't consider myself an advanced exerciser, but what they are sending you for the money they are asking for this set is just not worth it! I did order the 2# bar as an extra so perhaps sending the kit back with the 5# bar and the basic set DVDs would make a little more sense. Sorry to be a bummer, but I strongly feel this is way too much to spend for what they are delivering. I have not doubt that the core would benefit as the floor work looks challenging.
The workouts were taped in a large room with high ceilings. It's pleasant, very simple, no frills. There is a large crowd but the camera work is pretty tight so you only really see a few of the group. You see everyone when they widen the view. No whooping or hollering unless he asks the group if they feel it, etc. The music in one of the workouts drove me nuts as it just kept repeating itself. Music doesn't usually bother me when I'm doing a workout since I'm concentrating on what I'm doing and don't hear much of the music. I'm sure the same would be true of this workout as well. For the most part, the music is fine. Camera work was good even though it was a little wobbly for a very short period of time in one short segment. No big deal. There was natural sunlight coming in through the windows which gives off a cloudy appearance, not sparkling clear. This is only noticeable when the camera is in a wider shot. Alot clearer in the tighter shots.
On the Katamibar website, you can order the 2# bar and the 6 advanced workouts but you are still looking at $100 + shipping. I just don't know....
I have ordered Core Secrets, too and am so looking forward to its arrival! I'm sure my reaction will be much more favorable! At least I hope so!

Vickie, I have to agree with ya, when I went on the web site after reading the first 2 posts, I couldn't believe how much this bar was. My goodness, I thought theres not much you can do with it....... kinda outrageous to me, but I am not buying one...... Rhonda:7
