Kassia, Pinky or other yoga experts... ? on sticky mats

My sticky mats (I have 2 of them) are not sticky enough or feel long enough. One is a cheapo I bought from Gaiam for $9.99 just to see if I would like yoga so I don't feel bad about replacing it. The other is actually not bad sticky wise, but I don't remember where I bought it and I used a piece of it as "Pilates Reformer padding" (my bad) so now it is too short (it was extra long). Any website recommendations for real sticky and maybe extra long would be appreciated. I always seem to end up off the mat on the standard one...my guess is that I don't have the "yoga grace" and gentleness that comes with practice yet.( Ummm.... and I'm really not expecting it to appear any time soon.) Thanks in advance!

Hi, Robin:
I am not Pinky or Kassia but I think you should be able to find a mat on fwonline.com. THey have everything exercise related.

Happy THanksgiving,
Suzanne

never really looked for an extra long one before(b/c i am short LOL). but here are some i found on a search. the first two are yoga sites and the other one is one suzanne suggested, but this is just a direct link to the long mat.

and yoga takes some time to get. i am at it for years and there is always still work to be done. like bryan says "respect where you are at b/c you are already there"

Hi Robin, Kassia gave you a lot of good links. I use a mat I got from Sports Authority. It's just one of those regular sized mats. I'm short, so the length never really mattered to me. The stickiness counts though. Once my mat loses its stickiness, I'm changing it. It pays to have a mat that helps you hold the pose, especially those difficult poses where a little slip could mean an injury. Enjoy your yoga practice.:)
