Just getting back to weights...help on diet

Hoping for a little advice here.
I am just starting back to lifting weights. This is my second week doing MM. I would like to add a proteing shake after wieghts.
Should I use my whey protein shake that has 100 calories, 20 grams protien and low carb? Do I need some carbs too?

Immediately after a hard workout, it's best to have a combo of carbs (to replenish glycogen stores) and protein (to start repair work). I've usually seen a 4-to-1 ratio recommended (4 parts carbs to 1 part protein). Liquid is the best way to go, because it gets into the system faster.

About an hour after working out, have a meal that has more protein in.
 
When I was doing P90X, I used a soy beverage called "Power Dream," since it has about that breakdown of macronutrients, as well as some vitamins and minerals. Some other soy milks might also have that ratio.
