Just curious as to how many calories.....

everyone eats. I am 5'2'' and every book out there stops short of saying that if you are under this and weigh this then start at 1200 calories. My DH reduces his calories and lost 30 pounds and I stayed at 1200 and didn't lose anything. I am trying to loose the last bit of fat and nothing is happening. I do weights every other day and cardio the other days. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had this same question about a month ago. I was told that 1200 probably wasn't enough for the workouts I do. I also do weights several times a week and cardio three to four times a week (this week less than usual). Anyway, I upped my calories to 1500, and I actually started seeing more results. (I'm also about 5'2'')

chances are you are not eating enough. especially if you are working out hard. your body may be holding on to fat b/c its not getting proper fuel for your activity level. i would bring it up to 1500 for about a month and see what happens. i'm 5'3 and i eat about 1800-2000 (i'm on mantinance) when i want to loose i never go below 1600 b/c i'm extremely active and any less than that would make me feel ill.

I will bring it up to 1500 and see what happens. If we are doing Cathes workouts, then yes we are working out hard! I also eat clean and I only cheat maybe once a month, if that, so oh boy, I get to eat more!!! I can't wait to try this!
