<--first had to move treadmil away from closet door, told kids to stand back, and approached carefully with a maglight
<--was lucky that the uniform is in a gright red garment bag so <--spotted it and grabbed quickly and then the avalanche started
<--quickly pushed kiddies out of the way, shut the door, and promptly pushed treadmill back to ccloset door

<--is quietly stuffing Shelly's hidey hole with chocolate truffles and bon bons, plus a portable AC so she doesn't get to hot!

<---if Maeg finds herself dancing along to tunes like Manic Monday whether she wants to or not, she may be an 80's broad, a term <--- uses lovingly and would never use except in jest since <--- finds it derogatory along with chicks but usually only if a male says it :D

Sam went to play with the neighborhood drunk's sweet little boys who are much younger than he and not usual playmates. His regular playmates were away for the day and he was bored. She was on a cruise with her daughter who was raised by the woman's first husband since she was two and lives in Texas. He had a great time and went back yesterday but the woman had returned Saturday night and we know she is often quite drunk very early in the day so we kept trying to lure him home without being too blatant when we bserved the kids go in. He came home WITH the little guys and asked to spend the night we said no. He cried miserably.

I finally took him aside and told him she was an alcoholic and it was very sad and he was not to say a word about it to the boys or his close friends but dad and I didn't want him in her house and he might notice that she was pouring a drink quite a lot. I told him we would never not play with the boys because of the mom but keeping him safe was the most important thing in the world and she was unsafe because of her problem. She's going to court on neglect and abuse charges since she left the boys alone one day a few weeks ago to go to the store and when she returned she found the 4 year old had left in search of her and was found on a main street outside our neighborhood, barefoot with burned feet and the woman who found him called the police who came to get her and she followed him to get the little one. I found out it's the third time the cops had been out but don't know all the details of the visits. . She told another neighbor that fortunately she had not been drinking yet that day. She knows she's an alcoholic and has no problem with it. She thinks she's a fantastic mother too! We have seen her deteriorate in the last year and very badly. Her boys are beautiful and look like little waifs. I asked my husband if they could spend the night and he said yes but after I talked to Sam, he asked why I hadn't told him in the first place. I said I didn't want to discuss it in front of Alex and Andre and it was a very grownup problem I would have preferred not to have to go into with him. We ended hoping that she will go to a place called A.A. to get help before anything bad happens. I hope the courts make her do so and I have a feeling that they are perfectly aware of her boozing because there's a Child Protective Services worker on our street and her boys are in the street a lot, always unattended and the little one drives his remote cars right up to moving vehicles and they play and dart in the street. We have a number of drivers who don't respect the residential speed limit. The woman is rather looney when she's not drunk and the kids love her because she is childlike and fun but she's a mess and I can't have my son exposed to that. I told Sam to play with them outside and that they could play here but he said he really didn't want to play with them anymore which was just what I wanted to avoid. Sam's nine and they are 4 and 7 and he is best friends with another nine year old and her 10 year old brother. They are not allowed to play with her kids but I think it's wrong to ostracize the children for the sins of the mother. I have always been glad that they are not his usual playmates though. I guess it will just go back to the way it was before.

<---wonders if <--- has ever boasted of her restaurant style coffee maker which keeps a reserve of 200 degree water and is always on unless someone inadvertantly flips the switch off when moving the coffee maker while feng shui-ing her kitchen and doesn't realize it and turn it back on?
