~~just another manic (c&t) monday~~

Yay! I just did both Barry's Bootcamp Shoulders/Back AND Arms/Abs!! I feel like a rockstar!

Wendy, JJ is a doll!

Colleen, is Chris retiring? Or did I just read your post wrong?

Clintonya, I didn't see your post but I will take pics and video during dress rehearsals and post their professional pics when I get them!

Nina, I was the same way-didn't want the anit-depressant especially whe I hear how addictive the are-scary. There's a great book you should read that my thereapist suggested: http://www.amazon.com/Mood-Cure-Rebalance-Rediscover-Well-Being/dp/0670030694 You take a quiz and it suggests how to cure your moods with diet and natural supplements. Hugs! And I'm glad to hear last night went well. Darrin and I are going out on Saturday to a concert with a bunch of friends:) And he says the same thing to me about my time on the computer-what am I supposed to do when he falls asleep mid sentence and is gone all day and on weekends too?! It's my lifeline to other adults!

Lisa, Greek yogurt rocks! It's not cheap though! But so worth it-less sugar and double the protein! Have a great workout!

Hey Lisa, Just saw your 2nd post! Glad the bread is a hit! DH begs me to make bread but I'm not obliging much these days - trying to cut out wheat as much as possible. I made them mac n cheese yday and they were acting like I was serving ice cream at meal time! LOL!
All of your weekend indulgences sound good! I have a recipe for homemade oreos I'm dying to try but I know if I make it I will inhale it!:p
Good job getting your wo, busy mama!

i just snuck a cs in & now im snuggling w/ my ju-bird:)

kl, wtg on your wo!
big date night this wkend! how fun! i was hoping for one soon but it looks like we'll have to wait for florida!
eats good today?

Nina, I take melatonin to sleep every night. Without it I would sit up all night, every night. I highly recommend it and my doctors both are okay with my taking it regularly.
What dose did your dr. suggest ??

Wendy - jj is the cutest!
Kate - LOL about the Mac n cheese. Understandable why you don't want that stuff around
Klaudia - how is BBC?

At work taking a mental break. Break done.

Lisa, that’s how it is gotten for me too! I don’t know what happened to weekends of doing nothing! I want those homemade oreos:D

Nina, thanks, I hope so too :) Hope the melatonin helps you sleep better, it’s so hard to have a good day w/little to no sleep. Glad you had a good night and hope the day is going good!

Klaudia, how are those w/o’s? I need to try that book – even though I can usually get to sleep pretty good, I wake up way to early w/stuff running through my mind even though I am still tired.

Kate, homemade oreos :D Hope you and Mike have a nice night!

Workout is done. Eating has been pretty good, did have a few chips to calm the salt craving, but only one serving so I guess it could be worse. Going to pick up Jasmin from ballet & lyrical in a bit and then hoping for a calm night.

Clintonya

Klaudia, FIL is retiring. I wish Chris had enough $$$ to retire because I could quit working.
Kate, no word on the job.
Clintonya, sorry your weekends have been so hectic. I hope they calm down soon.
Lisa, the oreos sound yummy but I would never make them because I would eat them all.
Nina, I hope the melatonin helps you sleep better. Sorry about the DH drama.

So the drama is resolved. The party is Friday night. Somehow the place was magically able to accommodate everyone on Friday. Whatever. No word back from my interview on Friday. I really wish he did not tell me that he was going to call me today.

oh colleen, i hope you get a call soon!

klaudia, thanks for the book suggestion - i will read it. fantastic workouts. i am feeling enabled...

lisa, homemade oreos???? that sounds wonderful.

kate, great workouts for you today. i loved meso 1 best b/c of the fast pace. do you remember, in m3, are all the plyo legs the same or different?

becky, that is good to know about the melatonin. doc did not give me a dose:confused: what do you take. he also gave me an rx for the melatonin like derivative. roferon or something? anyways, have not gotten to the store yet to get anything - tomorrow for sure.

clintonya, wtg with the portion control.

dh and i are better, thankfully. i did bm2 ub and added to extra ub exercises for each body part. it felt good, but i am truly exhausted from that run this am. bed soon, and a more relaxed day tomorrow

Nina, I don't know if I can help you with dosage. Research is all over the place with recommendations.....latest research seems to believe the smaller dose, the better. Mine is a 1 mg. sublingual . I take it ALONG with an OTC sleepaide (which basically is benedryl). I take the OTC pill an hour before bedtime. Then the melatonin as I lay down. They each do their own thing, one puts me to sleep, one helps me stay asleep. I found that combination on my own after years of next to no sleep and doctors happy to give me samples, and write prescriptions for things MUCH stronger . Some didn't work , some stopped working after a short time & some I wasn't comfortable taking. So I did my own research and came up with this and it's been working now for about a year !!!!!!! I still have some short nights, but NOTHING like it used to be.
I hope you have the same results.

nina, sounds like you are feeling better! maybe try the melatonin and it if works well for you then no need to even think any more about the anti-deps.

colleen, what a bummer, i hope you here soon.

kate, i cant justify the cost of one of those either, itson my when-i-win-the-lottery list =) every blender ive ever had has been less than impressive so it is tempting...

clintonya, good going keeping the portion small!

lisa, you deserved that mental break! take as many as you need and tell your boss i said so.

becky, JJ is 19 mos. i think the haircut makes him look older in the pic. he is actually small for his age but you cant tell there. i am loving the almond milk, too, taste is amazing for so few cals and to me the "unsweetened" tasted plenty sweet!

klaudia, lol @ your dh falling asleep mid-sentence! my dh always says he wants to watch a movie, then falls asleep within 15 mins! sounds like you are enjoying barrys bootcamp. you are right on about the protein in alm milk, its miniscule. still had to add my usual palmful of pecans to the oatmeal for protein.

had a great wo this am -- 30 mins ellip intervals and then ub wts and a good stretch. i am still notdoing any weighted lb work. hopefully my knee will be up for more fun cardio before i tire of the elliptical! it is feeling better yest and today, hope it continues to be on the mend!

dentist appt this afternoon was not as bad as i expected. nitrous is good stuff =)

kl, were you the one mentioned grk yogurt being big bucks? you can totally "make" your own by straining the regular old stuff to the consistency you desire. use a fine mesh strainer (or cheesecloth) over a bowl and your good to go!

Wendy, I get my mom to make me homemade Greek yogurt;) But she doesn't do it as often as we eat it! I just found out that Yoplait makes a version and it's on sale for 99 cents! Maybe I can make my oatmeal with almond milk and have a serving of yogurt/cottage cheese to go with?:) Great workout!

Colleen, wouldn't it be nice to be retired so young? Sigh. I hope you get that phone call!

Nina, The BBC dvds are more enduranced based but they're great to alternate with heavy weeks.

Clintonya, a few chips won't do you any harm! Trust me!;)

Kate, eats are great! And I passed up cake and cupcakes at dance! Who am I?!

Lisa, BBC is 5 workouts-Legs, Chest/Abs, Shoulders/Back (with some abs), Arms/Abs and a non weighted total body. They all have 2 cardio options-either treadmill or non and each weight workout is 30-45 minutes. My butt was on fire from the legs/butt workout!

Evenin' girls! you were chatty this afternoon/evening!
Nice night out w/ the fam, kids are in bed, I did my ab work and now I'm hoppin into bed!

Got to read everything - hope you all have a good night and SLEEP TIGHT!:D:D
