Junk food recommendations?

I've been sick with a cold for days, and haven't been interested in eating anything aside from oatmeal and soup. Today, I got really hungry and ate salad and yogurt and stuff. Now I'm craving something sweet, maybe chocolate. I can't remember the last time I ate chocolate and I'm not sure what to send the DH out for. Peanut M&Ms? I think I like those, and somehow they seem healthier because of the peanuts. Chocolate-covered raisins? I like those too. I know there are lots of chocoholics here. Any ideas? I may not eat chocolate again for a year, so make it good. }( }(
 
but they don't count as junk food...maybe "mental health food" LOL! Of course Tosca wouldn't eat them!
 
Nancy - I can't remember the last time I didn't eat chocolate. Oh well. I say indulge yourself. Have a fudgy brownie tonight. So what? Let's lighten up once in awhile. We all work it off. Live a little - eat clean tomorrow. Besides - it is FRIDAY!!!

Oh, Clarissa. I really don't like brownies. My Mom used to make wonderful rich moist brownies when I was a kid and I packed them into my pie hole and now I just can't look at them! I don't even like the smell of them. But I'm fascinated by these PB M&Ms. My excuse is I'm sick as a dog, on 3 kinds of medications, and I'm throwing caution to the wind. But I haven't had junk in so long, I don't even know what's out there anymore! :eek:
 
You know what always looks so inviting in the store? The Entenmann's cakes. I haven't had anything Entenmanns in about 25 years. I wonder if it would still taste good to me?
 
Sorry you've been sick! That's no fun! I'm a big fan of dark chocolate so I love the Dove Dark promises. And if you want to have a *cleaner* treat then dip one in natural PB. ;-)

Give me a can of Betty Crocker's Whipped Frosting and a spoon, and its heaven on earth for me!:9 I know, I am so gross.;)

If I could seriously choose? Probably chewy oatmeal cookies with raisins and vanilla ice cream.

Oh drat, I am battling my sweet tooth today , I have eaten VERY clean, plain broccoli, chicken breasts that I baked plain, whey protein with water and a few grapes so of course all I can think about is chowing on crap. Thanks for the thread there Nance:) Hope you feel better real soon, we all seem to have had that terrible cold/flu thing. Enjoy your junk!:7
 
Hmmm. Nancy. A serious question indeed.......

Hard to find but lovely, lovely were the Reese's dark chocolate peanut butter cups.

Or you could try the PB Bars below. They will cure whatever ails you although their main application is for the treatment of PMS related discomforts.

1 cup extra crunchy natural peanut butter
6 (or so) graham cracker sheets - crushed
1 stick butter - melted
1/2 cup powdered sugar
8oz. (or so) dark chocolate - melted

Stir together in baking dish the peanut butter, graham crackers, powdered sugar, and most of the butter - save out about 2 TB of the butter. Spread the mixture out flat.

Stir the remaining butter into the melted chocolate and spread over the peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate and serve.

Sharing is optional.

Of course, since you're right there in the big city I think I might just send DT out for filled chocolates - truffles of one kind or another.

Or pastries. Buttery, melty, cinnamony pastries........
