June 08 Rotation Checkin Thursday 19th

Good morning ladies..

Checking in today with Lauren and I running 1/2 mile and I led her in some strength training. I did Step Works( I think that is the name) off the cardio hits DVD. It was the 3rd workout on there..I did use a 6" step since some of those steps have tricky footwork and I didn't want to get hurt!!

Thanks for all the well wishes for Chris. They must have worked because his team won last night in the last inning with 2 outs and no body on base. They had to score 2 runs to win and they did it!!!

Here is a photo of him with his team and coaches..

to Chris and his Baseball Team!!

Look at them with those big trophies!! That's fantastic, Kathy, and must have been SOOOO exciting to watch!!! Congrats to all!

I just got done with 4DS All Upper Body premix! My arms are feeling TIGHT right now! I do love that workout. Not sure why , moreso than other upper body workouts. Maybe it's the pace and the real struggle I get with the certain way she does the groups of exercises. But the 68 minutes go by fast!

Today is a half day for the boys, and i whisk them off to get their haircuts after they get home... Another half today tomorrow, and then they are DONE!

Have a fantastic day, will BBL!

Yea, Chris!!! Congratulations! What an exciting ending! Cute picture - where is Chris in it?

Kathy, I've done Step Works a couple times - I remember it being fun. Are you following the June rotation?

Chris, I really like the 4DS weight work too. It's effective, but doesn't "rep" you to death! I'm a bit behind in the rotation, so I won't be doing it for a few days.

Speaking of haircuts - I usually take my boys in during the school year. During the summer, they used to like to get the buzz cuts, so my DH would do them. Well, only my oldest wanted it really short this year, but DH wanted to do the others too, even though they had regular haircuts, if that makes sense. My oldest looks fine, but my poor youngest - I asked DH where the bowl was when he was done! My middle son's is not much better. I need to take them in to have the barber fix it - maybe he'll give me a sympathy discount!

Today was supposed to be a rest day in the rotation, but since I just "rested" this weekend and felt like I needed leg work, I did Glute Camp again. I'm going to try to do an itread run at lunch if all these meetings don't get in the way. :-(

Everyone have a great day!!

Joanne

Thanks Joanne and Chris!!

Chris: It was an exciting game. The parents were all jumping up and down as that last run scored and it was soooo close. The kid had to slide into home and just made it..Great game!! Have fun with those haircuts. It has been a while since I have done the weight parts to the 4DS..I've been doing the cardio portions as per the rotations. But, no weights since the rotation that was just about all 4DS..

Joanne: Chris is on the bottom row if you are looking at the photo he is second one from the left. He has a smile with no teeth showing and he has both hands on that trophy. I am following the June rotation and I don't have Mega Step Blast. So, I subbed..

Hey Everyone!

Kathy, that's so cool about the baseball champions -- thanks for posting the picture. That must have been so fun for everyone -- parents and kids alike. Do you get nervous when you watch your son play?

Chris, I really like the 4DS upper body premix, too. That shoulder work goes on and on, doesn't it? And shoulders is where I have a really tough time maching Cathe on waits. Sometimes I've got half of what she does! Well, ok, triceps, too. :) I like upper body work in general, but yes, I do really like the 4DS pacing and variety.

Joanne, I always cut my boys' hair -- they don't want to go anywhere for a haircut. My younger son always has the bowl cut -- it just works with his hair somehow. Poor kid! When we got together with the cousins at Christmas-time, the one boy who is close to his age had the identical haircut! Too funny.....

Vilma, we miss you, but hope you are having fun!

Cheers,

-Beth
