Good morning...

Checking in with Pyramid UPper body..Now it is off to pick up the kids from baseball camp..It sure has been quiet around my house this morning and I am loving it!!

Tonight Chris' baseball coach is having an end of the season cookout party with swimming and stuff. So, I am also off to the store to pick up something to bring along..

Hi Kathy! And everyone else to come!

I haven't had a chance to check in for a few days...hope all are well! I'll have to go back and check the weekend threads.

I'm chugging along on the rotation! Friday was MM upper (nice and short!), Saturday was the dreaded Drill Max cardio blast thingy. Actually I kind of enjoyed it! Not that I'll be voluntarily pulling it out again very soon, though. ;-) Yesterday was Legs and Glutes. For some reason I always think of L&G as an easier Cathe leg workout until I actually do it. NOT! I was really dragging this morning, but I did the 4DS upper body workout.

Hi Gals! :D

Just finished CCv7 and I am a sweated mess lol; just taking a carb/protein break before I go and do PP UB X3 premix; I can't even remember when I did PP last :eek:

So yes I'm back on the boards and back on the workout wagon since my mom is now back at her home in NYC. It was great having her here and I already miss her company but things here are slowly going back to normal.

I was also carbing bad the past few days x( due to - you guessed it TOM which just left Aunt Flo with her bags at my doorstep this am [font color=#4E9258]* thank goodness as I was feeling so physically ill with a major migraine and nausea for the past 4 days this time around UGH! * [/font]

Since I missed more than a few workouts in this rotation over the past 2 weeks I'll be finishing it up backwards lol.

I'm doing week 4 this week , then week 3 next week and so on until I finish the last day of week 1 :p the 3rd week of July lol :+ :7

Yeah I'm weird that way but when I commit to a rotation I like to finish it all. }(

Sorry I wasn't around much the last 2 weeks but life was hectic in a good way here ;)

Well I need to go and tackle PP UB X3 now.

I don't normally do this but here goes I am not working out right now (sooo bummed) I think I pushed myself to hard and got myself sick. I have a really bad cough that might be bronchitis or walking pneumonia have a Dr's appointment but I am home sick from work. My DH is PO'd at me he thinks I am over doing it I was trying to step it up for the road trip hopefully I will be 100% by then. Hope everyone is doing well

Kathy, the stretch for me yesterday was so good, too -- I'm glad you went with that.

Vilma, good to see you back! You workout fiend! Joanne, you have some tough ones, too. I did Amy Bento's slo-mo upper body this morning. Her only all UP premix is only 30 minutes and misses a lot of exercises of hers that I like, so I went through both long upper body splits but skipped through it (she does three "sets" (don't know if I have my terminology right) of each exercise, and frequently I did only one or two, or none!). It was sort of a strange workout, but I definitely feel worked.

Chris, the fires in my area are not normal -- the risk is always there, of course, but it's "never" been like this according to the fire people and people who have lived in the area for a long, long time. It's very scary. Every day my husband tries to make progress on having us be better prepared. We are ordering 4 more 2000 gallon water tanks to spread around the property, and some transportable pump with fireman hose that he found on the internet. Who knows if any of this will do any good, but we feel like we have to do something. We are going away in July, and we're going to pack up all the important paperwork and bring it with us, just in case. Kind of strange to live life this way, I must say!

Just back to report that I am DONE with today's scheduled workout.

UB is good but my left shoulder is still sore from an apparent injury I sustained a while back when I was lifting to much weight for my shoulder so I just took my time with shoulder work and refused to do the inverted shoulder press on the high step and just followed Cedie instead.

Although the shoulder is feeling ok every so often I feel a little twinge that tells me to stop and think when I do shoulders.

It must be really scary in your area. Here's praying that your area is fine.

It's crazy -- there have been three major fires very close to where I live, and honestly, in the greater SF bay area, there are just a lot of fires burning all over. I really feel for the poor firefighters this summer -- they are working so hard! Right now, I think, things are at least under control. Seems like every where I go lately I smell smoke!

Take care of that shoulder!!

Oh dear! Beth that must be awful!

Our area had some wild fires about 2 weeks ago closer to the coast and when the wind blew the smell was terrible not to mention it flared up the asthma my kids and hubby have along with some very bad headaches. I was at the hospital and some of the workers also complained of the smoke making them ill with headaches and respiratory problems :(.

I was glad after 2 1/2 days the wind took that smell and haze outta here so I can't even imagine what you must be dealing with :(

Big Hugs to you and yours and once again here's hoping those fires get taken care of soon.

Kathy.. PUB is one of the best Cathe UB workouts I think, don't you?
Enjoy the picnic tonight, it sounds like it will be lots of fun and the boys deserve to PARTY after all their winnings!!

Joanne... YOU'VE been very busy there!! Got all those workouts in and you sound like you're caught up. Hmmmmm... Not sure I would use the word "enjoy" to describe any of that DM premix!! LOL! You are crazy!!. And I truly think L&G was harder for all of us due to the way it was positioned in the rotation. it *HAD* to be something like that.

Vilma!!!.. Welcome back! you and your enthusiasm has been missed!! I always find it to be a let down when my company/family leaves. It's such a sad feeling, but then life gets back to "normal" and that feels good too. Your plan sounds good for the month of finishing out the rotation. Depending on what Cathe puts out for JULY 08, I might do this one all over again. I *really* like it and feel great muscle growth with the focus on weights, more than cardio.

Fitladydi ... Welcome to our check in! Hope you start feeling better, but don't push yourself if you don't.

Beth.... Sounds like you got a lot of good upper body work in . I actually don't own PP/SS, I am borrowing it from a good buddy!! Your husband sounds like a good man! Keeping you guys safe and having a "plan". Good thinking on taking important stuff with you on your trip.

As for me, I did do PP, Upper Body Premix x 3. I liked it alot, it was definitely a different way to work upper body. Mixing it up and working in different ways definitely works. The most challenging exercises for me was: Biceps with one foot on the ball. OMG, I was bobbling all over (with a few choice words at Cathe!) !! LOL!. Second, was the shoulder work with feet on the step. I did TRY it, but found I couldn't go down too far, so only one set of those, and the other 2 were over the head shoulder presses with Cedie.

Okay.. I better get off to the shower, and then whip up some grub for my hungry boys!!
