July RTers going to Jai's restaurant Thurs?

My flight gets in 4:40 Thursday - maybe I'll just go straight to Jai's restaurant and then check into the hotel after. That may work!

Hi Everyone -

I'll be staying at the Fairfield and getting in Thursday afternoon. I'd love to go with the group to Jai's restaurant! I voted for 5:30, but would go anytime that works for everyone else. Do we need a rental vehicle? I don't have one yet but would be willing to get one if needed.

Hate to drag this issue back up, but word is that Jai and DH might not own this restaurant anymore. If that's true it kind of takes some of the attraction out of the equation for me -- how about the rest of you? I'll see what more I can find out.

Agreed. It looks like a nice restaurant, but I probably won't go out of my way to get there if Jai and her DH don't own it anymore.

Do you know for sure they don't own it? About a month ago I e-mailed the restaurant re: menu choices & did receive a reply from Jai herself. I had explained that I was coming in for the RT & would love to eat at her restaurant.

No Tami - I don't know for sure. In fact when I did a Google search for Jai's name, here is one of the things that popped up.

This seems to indicate today's date, but it says opened 2 months ago, so I tend to think it's an archived article. So I'll check a bit further and let you know what I find out.

OK, I called the restaurant & I was told by an emplyee that Jai is still the manager. If I understood correctly her husband is not invloved, but I could be wrong on that part. He said she is there on a regular basis.

Bumping too! Do we just want to gather at a certain time and pick a place to go? I'm really open to anything and will be getting in Thursday afternoon with plenty of time to figure something out. If I remember correctly, the hotels have internet available so we can find different options and actually see how to get to them too. I'd still be happy to go to Jai's restaurant, but just being there and seeing everyone will be great for me - I eat anything! :9
